The food was good but the service was horrible. My wife ordered 2 eggs with toast and the waitress came back and said they were out of toast and could substitute grits or an omelet but when the food came out there was toast and...grits. SMH. My order was supposed to come with sausage and bacon and didn't. The waitress said she would tell them but I still never received it. I brought it to her attention again and her answer was " I don't know". At least the manager comp'd our mealMore

We drove 5+ hours for a birthday weekend getaway & to tour the brewery of our favorite beer. Werner’s was within walking distance of our stay & it came highly recommended on TripAdvisor. We stopped in for dinner and was sat by a very rude/standoffish...waitress. We sat & waited 30+ minutes for our server and watched 5 of them walk by us & serve every table that walked in after us - but they never approached us at all. Hopefully Kloesel’s in the next town over will be more hospitable.More

We dropped in to have a bite to eat on way home from San Antonio weekend trip, and emergency surgery, the place appeared to be a nice place, we had never been there before, and thought we would try it and may have food that...I could eat. We were welcomed in and were seated. We ordered the chicken salad and pulled pork sliders, and what we received is not what we ordered, menu description didn’t match the chicken salad , missing the cranberries, almonds, and blueberry muffin. All of which is on the menu. The pulled pork sliders we received were beef, not pork as ordered. The waitress did not come check on us, not even when she was putting condiments on tables nearby us, never came back to ask if everything was ok, we ate what we could, the chicken salad tasted like old mayonnaise was used. when waitress dropped off the tab, we asked about why there was no blueberry muffin, that was to come with the salad, per menu. the menu also described chicken salad to come with hi Jen salad, apples, almonds and cranberries, no cranberries or almonds in the chicken salad. Response was so you ready to pay the bill. We got up and went to find the lady that we first saw, and told her what happened, she asked why we didn’t say anything, for one thing, no one was around to say something to, then she told the cook about it, asked why didn’t he make the pulled pork, as what he made was beef sliders, and asked about the salad missing ingredients, along with the blueberry muffin, he was non plussed, he replied with we haven’t had those in a long time, we asked then why is it on the menu. It was the most upsetting experience at a restaurant ever, they offered nothing to compensate except for hard cookies, and apologized, but still made us pay the entire bill. Just wanted out of there. Very disgusting, especially when one is just being released from hospital, a weary husband, and a long way to get home. I’m sorry, but we will never stop there again.More

it used to be good. I don't understand what happened. The place is nasty. It took a good 10 minutes to even get someone to come to the table. The table next to us was leaving when their waitress finally went to their table. We...got our drink orders and it was 20 more mintues to get that and she didn't even bring it to our table. She put it on the empty table beside us. I got up and went and got it. We ordered pancakes and eggs. eggs where so gross the pancake was good. Then we wait for the check. Never ever again. The place outside was taken over with bugs. I should have left.More

Stopped here on a Friday close to 1pm and it was BUSY! We were instructed to select a dirty table and someone would clean it off. Well, that was a huge turn-off for me and I was ready to walk out, but hubby reminded me...there wasn't much else in this small town. All dozen or so tables were filled, but one whole end of the dining room was closed off. We picked up a free appetizer coupon at the Spoetzl Brewery, so we ordered onion rings and they were very good. Hubby selected the lunch buffet and he wasn't impressed. I selected from the lunch menu 2 beef sliders with beer cheese spread, bacon jam, fried green tomatoes on a Werner bun and served with a whopping side of fries. The fried green tomatoes were tough.More

We came here off of a recommendation from the staff at the Spoetzl Brewery. Sadly it was not a good experience. Most the staff as a whole were pretty friendly, however, it took quite a while just to put in our order. Once we ordered...and we got our Shiners we never once saw our waitress again. My Pop ordered the pork & beef bratwurst combo. I ordered the German special which was the same except it had a small Pork chop. Unfortunately the pork chop was pretty dry and unseasoned. The beef bratwurst was pretty good, the pork bratwurst was a little dry. We couldn’t order another beer as we never saw our waitress once our food was brought out by another waitress (which she was very friendly). But at the end of the night, we were trying to pay our ticket and were told our waitress would come check us out. Sadly she never came and by this point my Father was fired up somethin’ pretty fierce. Hispanics girl with glasses and not too concerned with us. I usually pay, but at this point my Army Veteran Father had enough and was adamant about paying this particular bill so I said nothing. He was upset we not only never saw our waitress but couldn’t even pay our ticket. Another waitress eventually came up and checked us out. My Father tipped .02 cents as he was very upset and wanted to make a point that he didn’t forget but that he was very disappointed in the service. My father is about as passive and patient an individual I’ve ever known so if he’s that mad then I think something really went wrong in the establishment. Not sure anyone cares, and I’m not sure our waitress realized she was dropped the ball big time waiting on us. Most don’t seem to understand they didn’t earn their tip and walk away thinking myself or my father is cheap. Not the case but overall the food wasn’t great, it was ok. The service was pretty bad as well with our particular waitress. Seems the other staff was friendly and attentive and on point but we did not get them unfortunately. Afraid I can’t give this one a good rating. Personally I Would not recommend.More

Have you ever seen the show restaurant impossible? This restaurant should be on it. I kept waiting for Robert Irvine to walk in the door at any minute. The place is disgusting, the salad bar food was old, and the food that was served at...the table was cold and not good.More

Have eaten there numerous times. They have good burgers and they do have a varied menu. Only negative comment I have is that they need to renovate their interior.

This place was just ok… nothing fancy, and good beer selection. Service was excellent, but food was about average or maybe a little less than average. Best thing was the homemade onion rings – we recommend them

We came here on the recommendation from the B&B where we were staying. We seated ourselves as advised by staff. The menu was steaks, chops, chicken and burgers. There was a nice salad bar, with one trip included with our entree selection. The starter ordered...was good. And my steak was perfectly cooked. The bar had a great selection of the local brewery beers. Our waitress was sweet, but seemed a little out of place, but that didn't affect the meal.More
