This restaurant has an old and somewhat rough exterior but a surprisingly decorative interior. We stopped in at 11 am and were seated immediately. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. Lunch started with excellent corn chips and tasty salsa. My wife ordered two pablano peppers...with 2 eggs on top. I ordered tres sauce fajita borritos. Both meals were excellent and we also really enjoyed the two side dishes of a vegetable medley and a lime rice. The tasty vegetables mix was done to perfection…warm and crunchy… not wilted. Dessert was apple fajita with ice cream…mmm good! Service was excellent…my only disappointment was our waitress didn’t wear a name tag. Faculty was clean and orderly. Two excellent meals, drinks, dessert for about $55. We would definitely eat her again!More

On a trip through the area we stopped by based on other Trip Advisors reviews. The staff was very friendly and our service was great. The salsa and the seasoned chips with the yellow queso (they also offer white) were fantastic. They offer a large...menu from enchiladas and tacos, to seafood and brisket dishes. The majority of our party opted for the make your own combination choices so we could try a variety of items. And one us had the stacked enchilada with the fried egg. Presentation was great on all of our plates but the flavors missed the mark for several of the items. My cheese enchiladas had very little cheese in them and were just rolled tortillas for the first few bites. The elote and charro beans had an unusual vinegar taste to them. The papas con chile were over cooked and very sticky. The sauces were decent and the stacked enchiladas were a big win and the rice was very good. Overall it’s a charming place with great service and average food. We enjoyed it enough we would return but I feel it might be one of those places that some items are just better than others and we’ll have to find that combination.More

Smug, rude waiter who acted like he didn't want to be there and everything we asked for he acted put out about it. And the food was terrible. We ordered beef tacos and enchiladas. How do you screw that up? The ground meat texture and...flavor was inedible. On top of that, they put potatoes in their ground beef (zero mention of that on the menu) which is off putting. But was made much more off putting bc the potatoes were cold inside and not cooked all the way through. Disgusting. I ate half of my tacos and was so grossed out I just ate a little of the refried beans and then pushed my plate away.... totally lost my appetite. My wife did the same.More

Soooo delicious!!! My mom and I stopped for dinner and couldn’t have been more pleased. They have a pretty extensive menu and we both had a hard time just deciding what to get. And everything was reasonably priced. Our server was a young man, soft...spoken but he was attentive and good at his job. Their salsa was perfect! I like a kick but not too much, my likes even less of a kick and she still really liked their salsa. Mom ordered the veggie tacos (I uploaded a picture), the veggies were HEAPING and hot! When she was finally able to take a bite she said they were very flavorful. I had the Guajillo Chicken Tacos and was equally pleased. The rice and beans with both of our meals were very good, mom ended up ordering a side of rice to go so she could have some with her left-over veggies tomorrow. We will definitely be returning!!More

I dine here often. The staff is very courteous and prompt. There have been several dining partners over the years and I cannot recall any negative circumstances. Parking is hit-n-miss, but that's how it is in downtown Sherman. Expect to walk a bit. It's still...worth it!More

We go to Sherman on a regular basis & kept thinking that there has to be a good Mexican restaurant in town. We’d tried 3 others then this one on Tuesday. Parking is hard to deal with- my husband walks with a cane & walking...is difficult- no handicapped parking we could find. Had to circle the block 2x to get a spot. Small non-chain restaurant- lots of menu variety! I had brisket enchiladas- VERY good, recommend! Husb ate tamales- so so- mire masa than pork. White queso dip was great but we felt $10 for a bowl of queso was a little much. Prices are overall reasonable, service was prompt & courteous. I would go back again! Better than any other Mexican restaurants in Sherman we’ve tried.More

I had the sampler and wife had tequilas Ranchero. Great food. It's not a fancy place but service was good for being understaffed. They need to fill/level their parking lot so be careful but don't let it stop you. It's worth going there to eat.

Kind of a hole in the wall place in old area of town. A very colorful and festive restaurant when you walk in. No alcohol served, but you can bring in a beer to enjoy with your meal. Some unique sides that are very good.

Coming home from airport and wanted Mexican food. Stopped here in the middle of the afternoon on Saturday. The chips and salsa was delicious. I had the soup and taco special. Biggest bowl of chicken and rice soup that I have ever seen in a...restaurant. Took most of it home. Tasty soup and taco. Friendly and capable staff.More

We love this place. It is probably our all time favorite Mexican restaurant in the world. We have stopped here several times and it is always excellent. Wish we had a Mexican restaurant this good at home.

We’re from New England, so we were searching for some authentic Mexican food. We definitely got it here! We sat ourselves in the colorful and festive restaurant, and before long we had chips and incredibly good salsa! We ordered queso to go with that (specifically...white queso) and we were blown away by the quality. I had a fish taco, which I ordered fried, and it was delicious! Two heaping tacos, and the game with avocado already. All the food comes with two sides as well, so it’s a hearty meal. Overall, would highly recommend! Especially is you happen to catch a soccer game there- I bet it gets crazy!More
