Decent breakfast but nothing to write home about. Staff was friendly. It’s a little pricey but what not now a days. $4.69 for a glass of orange juice.

My wife, 3 kids and I stopped here in transit from Oklahoma to Dallas. Easy access from the highway. I thought this was a delightful place with great food and I’m really surprised at seeing so many negative reviews- it wasn’t my experience at all....The service was quick and friendly on a Sunday morning. The coffee was delicious. We had banana walnut pancakes, Nutella Swedish pancakes, chocolate chip pancakes and some over the top decadent berry pancakes. Everything was delicious! We would stop here again in a heartbeat!More
really pretty plates shame pretty don't translate to tasty food just pretty. saw the pancakes go by on plates as we waited to be seated looked great once seated made our choices Wife went pancakes no doubt from seeing them, while waiting on food saw...folks at another table that wasn't happy with the pancakes taste handing pieces to others at table, they all agreed not good which worried my wife, and she was disappointed. old white-haired lady aka my mother-in-law ordered Chicken fried steak which she said was good. I ordered the southwest skillet with a biscuit I had saw a biscuit on another table looked great big, tall fluffy I was disappointed as well Chorizo wasn't really Chorizo least didn't taste like Chorizo more like taco meat but edible. The gravy was the star of the meal bacon gravy tasty now for the big, tall fluffy biscuit again fell way short on taste unless you like baking powder. I'm just a simple guy from the country can't make a biscuit that looks as good as theirs, but I can make a better tasting one. To sum up visually a great place to look at food but if I'm eating, I'll go elsewhere.More
I ordered the Lingonberry Swedish Pancakes the first time and they were wonderful. The next week I ordered them, they were AWFUL. First time pancakes were served on a dry plate with LOTS of berries on top. Delicious. The second time the Lingonberry pancakes were...served in over a quarter inch of some type of red liquid. The consistency was like water and in NO way was it thin syrup. I got no syrup or red water the first time. The second time there were literally 5 berries that were mashed on top. Lingonberry pancakes without Lingonberries and pancake would have been a soggy mess. The waitress said I was wrong and that they're always served in red water with no berries. She said the manager was on vacation. So, I waited a couple of weeks and tried to get the manager yesterday morning. They didn't want to tell me the manager's name (she finally said Mike). She wanted me to tell her why I was calling, then she set the phone down to get Mike. I heard talking, then she told me he wasn't there and I had to call after 3 PM when he would be there. It turns out they close at 3 PM and they didn't answer the phone. I only wanted to know which way was normal so I would know whether to order them again or not. Since I was called a liar by the waitress when I questioned the second order and the manager is dodging me when I had no complaint, just a simple question, I will never go back.More
The food was okay but I later had diahrea and threw up.It was fairly expensive but not bad and the cheesecake sucks.
Great food and service. Will come back next time I’m in the area. There were 4 of us we all got something different all was good. Highly recommend.
This place gets a mixed review from me. The first problem I had was it was supposed to be open at 6am. I showed up at 6:15 and it was still closed. Not only that but the cook was outside waiting for someone to open...the door to let him in. He told me it would take a bit for the stoves to warm up. OK so I was prepared for a small wait. The waitress was nice and very attentive, however. Never had to wait until my coffee was almost empty or anything for a refill, and she checked on me multiple times during the visit. I got an omelet. Not sure if this is standard or what but the omelet had nothing apparently but the eggs (and the add ons of sausage and mushrooms). In other words, what I got was a pretty flat omelet. Not fluffy like I would have expected. The place is fairly nice however. And clean.More
Had a Great last Breakfast with my Son here! Service was good, portions were big and enjoyed our time. Will go again when in town!
I was so excited to see a restaurant in Sherman that had Eggs Benedict on the menu. Actually, they have several varieties of Eggs Benedict. I bought my mom the senior breakfast of bacon, eggs and pancakes. Hers was awesome. Mine was a huge disappointment....There was one super thin sliced (lunch meat type) ham on mine. So little ham that I couldn't even taste it. The eggs were completely over cooked. Not yoke pour at all. More like boiled egg on top instead of poached. What a let down. So, I guess depending on what you order, you might be happy or sad. Flip of the coin. I'm giving them a poor rating this time, because bacon and eggs is easy to get right. But, Eggs Benedict needs to be done correctly if you offer it. I will give them another chance in a few weeks, before I write them off completely.More
I read the reviews which were really hit or miss. You loved this place or hated it. I like saw a photo of crepes with strawberries so I thought I would give it a try. We love supporting local places. When I was served coffee...the waitress warned me that “some of the creamers were bad” but said if I got a bad one she would bring me a fresh cup of coffee. I got two bad creamers and she finally brought me milk from the kitchen. Why not just throw out the bad creamers? The service was good and our waitress was friendly. There were several tables of regulars. The menu was extensive. I was shocked to see cheese blintzes (my favorite!) they brought out 3 beautiful cheese blintzes. Whipped cream and strawberries! Unfortunately, they were not very good. They were crepes, with a little sweet sauce rather than cheese blintzes. Mediocre. My wife had French toast which she said was fine, but not as good as IHOP. The coffee was good and the bacon was good. We love supporting local, but if you go here, stick to the basics.More
I was looking for a good breakfast place to eat but was highly dissatisfied. The scrambled eggs tasted old & rotten. Daughter ordered breakfast pizza & it was soggy & gross. The only good thing were the biscuits. I'm not one to usually complain but...this place was not very good.More
I regularly eat here for breakfast. I'm a fan of supporting local restaurants and this is one of my favorites. They offer a senior menus which is an excellent value. Not the fanciest place but always clean.
This is a good place on the main drag close to Austin college. The menu is very extensive including two kinds of crepes. I'm pretty sure there is something for everyone.
My favorite is the Ultimate omelet which has several meats, and the diced potatoes. The pancakes are fluffy and large. I also like the bacon you can order as a side. All this is enough to split between two people. Casual environment that definitely has...a hometown feel.More
Traveling through, berries were fresh and pancakes delicious! Husband had biscuits and gravy — loved it. Quick and attentive service. Coffee cups never emptied.
