We enjoyed our dinner and the BBQ is good and they have won a lot of awards and it’s better than any fast food - but it was not brilliant we have to drive back to Texas brilliant.

We got take out from here after a day at the lake. Honestly we stopped because of the cute name but it turned about to be a great choice! My son had the beef brisket and pork bbq combo-good size portion and he loved it!...Corn tasted fresh not canned and the BBQ sauce was yummy! I had a brisket sandwich which was delicious! We will be back!More

Not only is the BBQ enought to write home about, but the level of service can't be beat! The award winning sides are almost worth the trip without even talking about thos mouth watering ribs. This place is on my list of frequent places to...get some good grub. I have tried everything they have to offer, and I haven't had a bad meal yet! Give them a try, you will NOT regret it.More

I lived in Sherman for 7 months before I finally tried this gem. I’m quite the foodie. I can eat food and be satisfied, but I really appreciate GOOD food, and I know when I find it. Let me tell you, if you’re looking for...GOOD BBQ, don’t even think about going to RibCrib until you’ve been here. This is the best BBQ in the area, and the best BBQ I have found outside of a local place back in my hometown. The owner took my order, and gave me some suggestions which I thoroughly enjoyed. I had the pulled pork sandwich served open face with a gravy they make once a week from the brisket drippings. For sides, I had cowboy beans and cornbread dressing. This was one of the best meals I’ve had since living here, and can’t wait to go back. Add in the smiles on everyone’s faces as they welcomed you in, it was just a fantastic experience all around.More

Stop at Cackle & Oink every time I'm in Sherman visiting our daughter at Austin College and cheering on the Roos. Fantastic BBQ and sides, friendly/helpful staff and did I say how good the food is - lol.

Rather expensive and out of sides. No accoutrements such as onions, jalapeños. Brisket and sausage OK.

My Husband and I recently moved to the Sherman area. We have been on a hunt for great places to eat at in the area. This place is a hidden gem that not many have recommended to us, which is very surprising. We went for...a late lunch date and instantly found our new BBQ place. The owner greeted us and made us feel instantly welcome and offered suggestions for us to try the specials for the day. My husband ordered the pull pork special with the brisket gravy (which is straight from heaven), jalapeno sausage link, and cowboy beans with a side of cornbread casserole. I ordered a chopped beef brisket sandwich with a side of cowboy beans and jalapeno cornbread casserole. The food was fantastic! All of the portions are medium to large, which fills you up instantly. Basically, if you are looking for a BBQ place that has great flavor, spice, and puts a lot of love into their food, then this is the place for you! Oh, and the sauces. I am a HUGE sauce/condiment person. Each sauce is completely different from one another and has several different spice levels. If you cant decide which one you love the most, just mix them all together and get after it! You wont be disappointed in this place!More

The Good: The food. Everything we had was very good, prices were reasonable The Bad: If you want to call it bad, it looks like an old Taco Bell with limited seating. Feels like a fast food place when you enter, order at the counter,...they take your name and bring your food to your table. Frankly, I felt like that added to the charm. Overview: Easy to find, but limited parking. We stopped by on a Sunday and I think we were mixed with the after church crowd. So it was busy but we were able to get a table pretty easily. As mentioned, you order at the counter, pay for your food, find a table, and they'll bring it out to you. Tea, water, and fountain soda you get on your own. So very fast-food feeling. We ordered 3/4 pound of meat mixed between the brisket and pulled pork. While I've had enough smoked meat in my lifetime, I do not consider myself an expert by any stretch. But we both preferred the pulled pork. The brisket was good, just not AS good as the pulled pork. The jalapeno cornbread casserole side was spectacular. The potato salad was only OK in my eyes. Frankly, we split one plate between the two of us and it was ample quantities. So the portions are large. Would definitely go back in a heartbeat if we're in the area. We actually took a day just to drive from Dallas and found Cackle & Oink before heading up to Lake Texoma area. Enjoyable afternoon in the area.More

A lot of good people at this place, it's sometimes hard to figure out who owns it because they are all so nice. Great place, great food, and always very accommodating to my handicapped wife and daughter!
