Had lunch here over the Thanksgiving holidays on a road trip from Lubbock to Dallas. All four of us enjoyed our food, and the wait staff was helpful and friendly. Highly recommend the brisket salad.

Driving home from Carlsbad and decided to stop here to grab lunch and stretch our legs. Everything was clean and service was good. BBQ was tender but not as smoky flavored as we get back home. My husband did the salad bar as a side,...which was good but did not care for the potato salad, left is uneaten. I got the BBQ potato and liked how the gave it to me unassembled so I can make it like I want it. Overall not bad for a small town option and not eating fast food.More

The salad bar was fresh and the BBQ sandwiches were very good! We were stuffed on just the small size sandwiches, glad we didn't order anything bigger!

Everything that all of us had was very good. We traveled 45 minutes to get there, but it was well worth the trip.

The have a screened patio, so if you want to eat outside...that's an option. The brisket was SO tender. Homemade beans were excellent. And handcut fries that are crispy!! usually they're a big soggy. These were crispy and perfect...I ate them all!! Service was friendly...and attentive. Would recommend to anyone! And if you don't want to eat in...they have drive thru pick up window!! Can't beat it!More

Just ate at Smokey Bros. who is no longer that but The Big Empty; apparently new ownership. We were the only ones there at first and got amazing service. The food was very good with exception to the artichoke hearts on the salad bar and...the mac n cheese which was very dry and the noodles overcooked. We ordered the 2 meat platters and had the ribs, sausage, turkey breast, and chopped beef brisket. The BBQ sauce tasted strange by itself but on the meats it was the perfect compliment. My husband also got the potato salad and said it was very good as well. Prices are excellent for what you get. LOTS OF FOOD we had enough leftovers for 2 more meals. So if you havent been there check them out. The atmosphere is rustic, people friendly and food is Yummy. Although the food is not served on plates but on trays. Worked out great. Sorry no pics since I was traveling and tired and didnt even think about it until after I was gone.More

Stopped in on our way to a weekend on the lake with the family. Busy lunch stop. Had the lunch sandwiches, we each had different meats and sides. All of them were very yummy. Tender, flavored perfect. Service was great.

Was looking forward to local BBQ after reading reviews of only last month—BUT no cars in parking lot at noon—doors locked w/ no access or signs! Can only surmise they went out of business suddenly.

Traveling with the family to New Mexico and stopped in for lunch. The staff were friendly and service fast. I had the small rib plate (2 ribs) with coleslaw and the free beans. Like everyone has posted, the beans are awesomely spicy good. The ribs...were tender and good with the bbq sauce. My husband had the brisket. I was good. My daughter had the regular catfish dinner with curly fries for $7.99. OMG it was a lot of food! There were 6 filets and a pile of fries! The fish has a good cornmeal crust. If you’ve had Chicken Express catfish you know the flavor. The fries were seasoned and crisp, very tasty.More
