About
About Davila's BBQ and owner Adrian Davila: I am a third generation BBQ restaurateur at Davila's BBQ in Seguin, as well as BBQ Chef and Pit Master. My grandfather, Raul Davila, started Davila's BBQ more than half a century ago, in 1959. He passed on the family tradition of preparing smoked BBQ to my father, Edward Davila, who passed it on to me. Our Latino family culture is deeply embedded at the root of making the best BBQ in Texas. At Davila's BBQ, I serve as the restaurant spokesperson. I have appeared on KSAT 12's SA Live, WOAI News 4's San Antonio Living and KENS-5's Great Day SA. I was featured as a judge on the Travel Channel's show American Grilled and as a contestant on the Food Network show BBQ Blitz "Texas Takedown" where I won first place.I have also been featured in articles on the San Antonio Express-News, MySA, SanAntonio Magazine and the Seguin Gazette to name a few. It important to me and my family, that Davila's BBQ continues to grow in the hearts of our customers throughout the heart of Texas and beyond.

This place had the best ribs I have ever had in my life! The kind that makes you want to lick your fingers and your plate too! The brisket was very tender and flavorful throughout as well. The potato salad was amazing! The pinto beans could have used some more flavor. The sausage and mac and cheese were decent, but not the best I have had. Wanted to try the ham but they didn't have any the day we went. The prices are reasonable for the quality of food you receive. Overall this is my new go to place in Seguin for BBQ!

I had heard a lot about this place and decided to give it a try. It definitely attracted a lot of people Friday at lunch. The restaurant was set up for counter service and the prop up front were very nice. The service was a little slow once we ordered. The drinks were serve yourself, they also had a few beer selection. Everything is made on site from what I could tell. The pits were outside and were smoking. The sausage is of the same type of grind like you would find at the bbq Mecca of Lockhart. It was good and flavorful. The brisket had a good smoked taste to it but was a little leathery. Sides were all homemade and they also had burgers and fish on the menu. All in all not bad. And the prices for bbq were very decent.

Stopped here on our road trip across Texas and had a great lunch. Good BBQ, delicious sides, and service with a smile. It's a little pricey but makes sense for what you get. Had some menu items I hadn't seen at a BBQ place before - be ready to be adventurous!

First time at the place and purchased the 1/2 brisket burger moist. I was so disappointed that I got the hard burnt part of it. Could not eat it because it was so dry when I asked for Moist. I was driving back home which is not in Seguin so I did not look at it until I got home. I'm so disappointed in the burger plus what I paid to just throw it away. The only thing I could eat was the potato salad.

Very disappointing. I ordered ribs. One was about 3 inches long, just bone. I ordered sausage and I received the driest pieces of sausage. They were too hard to eat. Seems like we were given the food that had been under the warmer all day. Brisket was hard even though I requested moist brisket. Got the worst cuts just because I ordered to go. I made a special trip as I was driving through. Never again!

Finally after years of wanting to try it, we had time to detour off the main drag and find this place on a recent road trip. We ordered the big Davila family pack that comes with sliced brisket, chicken, and sausage with a big side of pinto beans and a big side of Spanish rice to take home (2 1/2 hour drive) and a chopped brisket sandwich with a small side of potato salad, AND a big piece of Big Red cake. Everything, Delicious, everything! Even the sauce was really good, almost like it had butter in it, not tangy nor sweet, just right. Looking forward to another road trip thru Seguin so we can stop again!

We had a team lunch from Davila’s and had it delivered to our workplace. It was portioned well, very tasty but I thought it was still overpriced for BBQ food

Being from Kansas City where we pride ourselves in our BBQ I’m not giving this title away easily, but this is by far the best bbq I’ve had in my life. The brisket was both incredibly tender and flavorful. Everything the people with me got was equally delicious.

I took part in a 10-km walking event at Lasy U Ranch, after completing I asked where I could get some BBQ, they referred me to Davila’s, I ordered a double meat brisket plate, per there website it displays $12.99 I was charged $14.06 once I arrived back home in Gonzales I opened the container & was a wee bit disappointed in the portions provided...however it was extremely tasty & I eat it all, still wanting more I drove to our local BBQ place & bought a bbq sandwich.

Honestly, somewhat disappointed ... but I may have ordered wrong. Got lamb ribs, sausage link, and cream corn, and a big coke. The very good — cream corn, really flavorful, perfectly cooked. The good — sausage, beef I think, slightly over cooked, great flavor, slight spicy bite, and not greasy. The not so good — lamb ribs, fatty, greasy, not well seasoned; I left 1/2 of the portion. Served with bread, onions, pickles, and sauce — all okay, nothing special. Reasonable price IMO. I’ll try it again, probably get chicken and brisket.

We stopped here on a road trip as I saw this place in the recent Texas Monthly BBQ issue. It is a casual place that is family friendly. The ribs, brisket, and sausage were good. We also got mac n cheese, which was excellent! The BBQ is served with pickles and onions. There were lots of options-BBQ plates, BBQ sandwiches, and a variety of sides. They also serve desserts and beer. It is a bonus that they take credit/debit cards.

It’s a small BBQ place about 1.5 miles off the highway. The line might get long but don’t worry it moves quickly and is worth the wait. The brisket and chicken was cooked perfectly and was delicious. The sausage was all beef and just not what we are use to... it had a great flavor but was different. The creamed corn and Mac and cheese were a hit. The beans were a little under cooked- they were still hard. We would definitely stop again when we are driving through Sequin.
