I had an opportunity to have dinner at frank's today - always good food and great service. The waitress was kind and made sure everything was just right. The manager at the register came by to check on my me as well. I had the 8 oz ribeye, green salad and baked potato. Steak was cooked to my liking -... More

Our breakfast included bacon, scrambled eggs and biscuits. These items were simply prepared and were acceptable. Bland breakfast items, nothing special and not especially tasty. Of course, we didn't expect any of it to be very zesty.

Love everything on the menu especially the daily specials, pies, kolaches, and homemade breads. Their daily soups are delicious, and service is very friendly.

Good old southern cuisine, comfort food, travel back in time decor, unpretentious and huge portions, are some of the features. Frank's claim to fame Fried Chicken was crispy and full of flavour. And the fries were real and yummie. Their Hamburger Steak was nice, served with gravy and fancy caramelized onions. A must stop on I-10, just worth the experience

Stopped here on our way home and enjoyed some down home food. My husband had meat loaf and I had the chicken fried steak and it was good also. Both came with a salad and vegetables. On our way out had to get some pie to go pecan and chocolate both wee delicious. Had to also buy a loaf of... More

A great place to stop for a break and wonderful home style cooking. It is right off I-10. Don't forget to get a slice of pie.

Have stopped here for years on the way to & from Houston. Much busier this visit than normally. Slow service--& we ordered quickly-fixed meals. Hadn't planned for an hour-plus stop. Food was ok. Has been better at times. Service was slow and a bit sloppy. Don't usually see that at Frank's. When finished eating it took more than 10 minutes... More

Hearty meaty choices, not a lot of appetizers or 'Fun' food for kids. The breakfast choice at 2 pm was 2 eggs, 3 strips of bacon and 2 pieces of toast (no potatoes) for 7.79. That is high in my opinion for an egg plate. They were huge, fresh, perfectly cooked eggs though and the place was quite busy. You... More

We stopped here on our way home from New Braunfels as there aren't a lot of choices along this particular stretch of highway and we were hungry. First impression; it's the restaurant that that the 60's /70's forgot. I'm guessing it hasn't been remodeled since it was built. Service was painfully slow and borderline incompetent. Forgot my wife's fries(never did... More
