This is my favorite place in San Marcos. I could eat here every day. That said, I recognize its shortcomings - it is not always pristine, some of the staff are less than personable, it is not evocative of Thailand beyond a few stereotypical pictures. What matters is the food. I've never had anything bland or uninteresting, and I have... More

Very good food. The place is a hole in the wall but the food is great. Don't go there expecting good service because it is not that way however the food is great.

The food is good but not what I expected for Thai food. Portions are more than adequate, but the food was rather bland. Pad Thai dish is more like chow mein, hardly a hint of peanut and tamarind that I was expecting. Spring rolls were pretty good

This is a hole-in-the-wall type of place, but the service is great and the food is delicious. It is by no means anything fancy, so if you aren't into trying new exotic foods I would not recommend it. If you're like me and like to explore different flavors, then this is the place for you. I love their pad thai... More

Thai Thai Cafe is a little no frills Thai dinner located near Texas State University. Definitely a family run diner with very good Thai cooking. This is an informal place frequented by students and locals looking for spicy food that is reasonably priced. Lacking decor, shorts and flip-flops the general attire, and a hole in the wall location is what... More

Place didn't look very great and food also was not tasty or appealing. It was bland, red curry was cream colored and not at all spicy. Indian curry wasn't great either and had to douse it in salt and pepper to make it edible.

Don't listen to the negative reviews about this place. The food is super tasty and if not the best thai I've ever eaten it is right there close to the best. The interior is very plain, so for you snobs who think it's going to be a Beverly Hills type place, sorry. The wait staff are a little aloof but... More

First I need to start this review by explaining that I have been eating at Thai Thai Cafe for over ten years. Before I moved and lived in San Marcos myself, my best friend lived there and I visited her multiple times in a month and ate at Thai Thai cafe between three to five times in that month (there... I compare every Thai restaurant I visit to this one! My family and I have eaten at Thai places all over the U.S. and we always leave saying how much we miss Thai Thai Café. I believe they have the best Pad Thai I've had anywhere. The service was always quick, the prices great and the food awesome!
