Tonight we celebrated my mother-in-law's birthday and had a great time. I had the tenderloin which was grilled to perfection and very tender. Everyone else also enjoyed their meals. Robert was our waiter and did an outstanding job. Every time we eat here, the food is very good as is the service!

Manhattan cocktails were well constructed. Queso guacamole was an overabundance of tasty cheese with a modicum avacado. Wife enjoyed it; me, not so much. Wife had "outstanding" salmon. I had crab cakes but thought they were just okay. BTW, both agreed caesar salad was awful. Excellent service.

Nice little place, open for brunch, lunch and dinner. Lunch menu was nice. Chili relleno, stuffed with chicken was a surprise as had no crust! Still quite tasty. Had outside courtyard as well.

You almost have to know you're looking for Palmer's! Quaint little B&B just off the historic square, with a wonderful restaurant. Our grand-daughter is a student at Texas State; we were driving thru and she suggested meeting at Palmers for Sunday Brunch. So glad we did! We drooled over Gooey Buns and Breakfast Paninis. Will definitely go back for a... More

The service was very good - attentive and friendly. I had the seafood combo, fried catfish and an option of grilled, fried, bacon-wrapped, or coconut shrimp. I took the coconut, and it was good. Both the fish and shrimp were generously breaded and crispy. The house salad and red-skin mashers were good but nothing special. My friend had the Cobb... More

I met a friend at Palmer's for lunch - my first visit. Both of us like oysters and they had them so we had them on he half shell for an appetizer. They were very fresh and clean tasting with no shell fragments from sloppy shelling. My friend had the salmon Caesar salad which he thought was very good. I... More

My daughter and I went to a wine paring dinner and loved it! The Fall Creek Vineyard rep gave a brief description of each wine and the chef/owner of Palmer's gave a brief description of each course. Chef created original off-menu dishes specifically for each wine. Spot on! The clientele was interesting and enthusiastic. As always, the service was great.... More

Disappointed. Took time to get our drinks, took longer to get our food (well over 20 minutes for food). No greens available for sides during their brunch. Food was okay. Bugs are ridiculous outside. Live music a bit too loud.

A friend and I went to try it out. It seemed a little busy for a Monday afternoon but service was swift and courteous. Possibly the most impressive part of the visit was the statement Palmers is making with their service. The hostess seemed a little younger and confident however her hairstyle was incredibly daring and really emphasized the equality... More

The atmosphere is unique and lovely with an enchanting view of a fountain and garden. The staff was very accommodating and the services outstanding. We stayed and visited for two hours. Will go back again whenever in the area. You will not be disappointed.
