Have been going here for 20+ years and this restaurant has started to look that old and I was very disappointed. When we walked into the restaurant, I noticed rotating floor fans were set up all over and it was very warm inside. I asked the hostess if the AC was broken, and she said "no, it's just always like... More

We went there for a birthday dinner with the family. Yes the specials for the food and drinks are cheap. But eating there, I learned very quick that you get what you pay for! Margarita and bloody Mary are small drinks. That, I can accomodate. But the plates are tiny. Some of us ordered the grilled chicken with 2 sides:... More

We stopped at Grin's while in San Marcos. Convenient location, close to university. We all enjoyed our meals. The salsa was good & the guacamole was so-so. The prices were reasonable, including kids meals.

We stopped by after a tubing adventure for Happy Hour priced margaritas and a snack. The margaritas were good, but the nachos definitely weren't my favorite. The queso and chips were the better alternative. The atmosphere is fun with lots off college memorabilia, but the stuff hanging on the walls and from the ceiling could use a good dusting ...... Great casual atmosphere, centrally located. Stopped by after tour of spring lake and really enjoyed it. Service was good. We ordered burgers and onion rings.

Was able to kick back and visit with a friend and not feel rushed. The grilled chicken with mushrooms, and cheese was delicious. The $.99 margarita was perfect.

this restaurant is very near Texas State University. The food was very good, the staff were friendly and were willing to answer any questions about the menu. The burgers looked fantastic, no one in my party got one, but we saw them being delivered to other patrons. The friend catfish plate was very good, lots of food to eat, I... More

My family and I wanted a place to get drinks and some food after skydiving. Grins is friendly, clean, and has a wide variety of choices on their menu. I highly recommend The strawberry margarita, queso dip with meat and the chicken fried steak. The onion rings are huge! The wholey Moley burger is also yummy.

Lunch with co-workers today. Excellent choice! I had the Philly pita with onion rings and it was wonderful. Some of the best onion rings I have eaten!

This was my first time to go to Grins. I will definitely go back. The atmosphere was really nice.. Kind of like dining in a tree house! The chicken fried steak was to die for and the servings were large. Excellent service by the wait staff. Winner winner chicken dinner!

Thank Karen S
