Was ok prior, but the last visit all staff ignored me. Even after mngr involvement, never got order.

Location: good Price: high but not outlandish Selection of food: very good Taste: my brisket tacos were very good but done fought out treated odd and had an upset stomach later. These people mostly had burgers. Service: self seating but attentive. Food came out quickly...Atmosphere: nice, open. College bar and grill with TVs and a stage singer All in all, an enjoyable but not excellent experience.More

My server, the bartender was damn good and attentive otherwise this review would only get a two. I admit I didn't know it had live music or I might have picked someplace else. Too noisy and the band was really no good. Not very well...lit either (OK so its a bar posing as a restaurant, but if I had gone after dark I probably wouldn't have had enough light to read the menu. Got a chili frito burrito. The chili was subpar and dry as hell. And not enough flavor to suit me. Could have gotten the same at a high school ball game, but at least I expect high school ball park food to be like that.More

Good place and nice environment. We were charged $2 for Lone Star Light. The menu said $1.50. Annoying. Also, the salad bar wasn’t replenished/maintained well. Otherwise, it’s a good place.

Sitting here now with my wife and 3 kids. Service has been great, friendly wait staff and food is very good. Would come back again!

Some of our good friends invited us to meet them in San Marcos for dinner. Great Sports bar design, with ample TV sets. Loud, but manageable. First clue was the beers on the menu that were not available. Second problem was that the beer was...warm. Third was that my wife's shrimp tacos were filled with cold small shrimp. Fourth was that the burger that I had asked to be medium rare was a charred Briquette. Fifth was the pasta on the salad bar that was labeled as spicy was doused with powdered habaneros. We didn't make any sort of a scene out of respect for our friends; but I wouldn't recommend this place over a soup kitchen. Too bad, because it could be great.More

Worst experience I’ve ever had in San Marcos. I would frequent this place for lunch with co workers regularly. So when a friend came into town to visit I made the mistake of choosing this place for lunch. At first we sat by the bar...and placed an order for food and beers. We decided to move outside after being served our drinks and the waitress outside decided to re I.D us. We handed over our IDs at which point our waitress started accusing my friend of having a fake ID while scratching at the barcode. She was extremely rude and unprofessional threatening to call the police. The ID was real, so we agreed to wait for the police. I asked to speak to her manager and we were directed to the acting manger behind the bar. The acting manager totally mishandled the situation and instead of diffusing the situation added fuel to the fire by yelling at us in front of a busy dining floor .They ultimately handed back the ID and kicked us out. The whole ordeal seemed racially fueled.Do not give this place your business.More

A great street-front spot in the town Square, with outdoor seating. Big burgers and cold beers. The service can be overwhelmed at peak times. On the other hand, you may end up with a nice slow meal as a result and that can be pleasant....No big menu stand-outs. The location is the thing here.More

Had lunch there yesterday and it was just ok. It took 40 min to get our food at 130pm. Servers were very nice and polite though. My brisket tacos were ok, just way too fatty for my taste.
