It's always worth calling to see what the lunch "special of the day" is, But the fried chicken livers is still one of our favorites.

Wow! This was the best dive, I have ever been to! Sat at a badly weatherbeaten table outside. Ate the BEST oysters I have ever had. Ordered a dozen Shrimphooley oysters and was served 16 because some were "small". So happy we searched this place out!!!

I love oysters - have had them a bunch of different ways (sort of like shrimp in Forrest Gump) but you haven't lived til you've had these - cooked over an open wood fire with parmesian and garlic and topped with a grilled shrimp. Server has just the right amount of attitude, You do not come here with kids(under 18... More

This place is for adults only. More of a bar atmosphere which we loved. The food was great, atmosphere fun and service can't be beat. Friendly place. It is obvious they are accustomed to treating the locals. Can't wait to visit again.

It's worth the trip to Gilhooley's. We drove past it because there is no street sign, so you better have the address handy. The grilled/roasted oysters with parmesan were the best I've ever had. Should have gotten another dozen. Don't bring your kids
