We had four in our group and everyone claimed their meal was the best! The history of the restaurant was posted on the entryway wall. What an amazing journey for the owners. Our daughter requested outdoor seating in a glider swing along the water with sunset views over the bay. Music was pleasant and great selections for conversation. Server was... More

Food was great. Weather was a little cool so we didn't eat outside although we would have loved to....service was good. Overall we had a great meal at a reasonable price.

We've been to Top Water on two different occasions in the past year. The first time was a breezy November afternoon with family, including two children. We sat on a large glider swing overlooking Galveston Bay, and everyone enjoyed the friendly service and great seafood. We mostly had fried oysters, shrimp po'boys, calamari, etc. The second visit was last week...just... More

Here's a family-style place where a family can enjoy some really good seafood (they have some awesome hamburgers and non-seafood, too!). They handle large parties very well (we had ten in our group, six adults and four 6-to-10-somethings) and do it with a smile. They have a good selection of very tasty food, but one can only select one (not... More

There were ten of us. We really enjoyed the dinner. Each of us had a different dish, and everyone was pleased. The only exception was my wife who ordered a medium steak and it came out well done, brown all the way through, and dried out. She cut it open, called the waitress, who glanced at it and immediately said... More

Love the outside swinging booths! Yep. You can eat, drink and swing your booth back and forth outside while viewing the sea and the palapas. Friendly staff and customers. Place is clean, bar is fun, and food is tasty and unique. Fresh catches for seafood. I take my out-of-towners here and it has never disappointed me yet!

Topwater is one of those cool, funky places hidden from the beaten path that is worth the extra few minutes drive. The seafood is so fresh because it's local. All prepared quickly with just the right amount of seasoning. The service and bar are the best. Enjoy! We always do.

Top water is one of my favorites and I love going there. Everyone had something different and everyone enjoyed the meal. The waitress was super and understood the problems of an older couple and their hearing ( lol). It was my mom's bday and the suggestion to go was a huge success.

My wife and I ate at the Topwater Grill last night. Blue Crab Corn Chowder is excellent. This is has been a favorite of ours for several years. We also had some grilled garlic oysters, those were great. Main courses we had shrimp tacos and coconut shrimp. Prices are not bad. We head to Topwater avoid some of the other... More
