We love this type of food so we gave it a try. First time there. The salad dressing was wonderful. We both got a Bento box and they were both delicious but we felt a little cheated. Every Bento box we have ever ordered for years gave you your salad on the side in a bowl with ginger dressing leaving that big space on the bento box for tempura shrimp or vegetables. This establishment puts the salad in the place where the tempura usually is and you get no tempura veggies or meat. That was disappointing.

Hard to find this place but it was definitely worth it. We loved it! Great food and service. Prices were affordable.

I have now eaten at MASA Sushi twice as I was traveling thru San Angelo. I was impressed both times. Great service, excellent meal presentation, and really good sushi.

We went to dinner with family on Saturday evening. Service was slow and the place wasn’t even half way full. The food was tasteless. Teriyaki chicken and teriyaki beef both tasted as if they had been cooked without the marinade. The fried rice was an off putting grey and also completely devoid of flavor. Our dinner companions who have eaten there before commented that it was an off night.

First visit--won't be my last. My wife introduced me. I was really suspicious given the location. But walking through the door presents a really pleasant atmosphere, and service is attentive and welcoming. We tried at least 5 different things in this visit and each was fresh, well prepared. Really happy to have this new restaurant available here in San Angelo.

We stumbled on this one after a recent movie. They were closed but some of our friends told us about it as well.
We went with friends and I was very impressed. The decor is well done (you can't tell it used to be a Cajun Restaurant) and the overall vibe is very nice.
A very large selection of rolls, hand rolls and sushi/sashimi. My only critique about the menu is the minuscule font size for the roll section. Other than that, the select is great!
I've had the sushi (sake, unagi and maguro) along with the California Roll, Sweet potato roll, peanute avacado roll and Scorpion roll. I would rate them all very highly. Some of the freshest tasting Sushi I've ever had even though we're far from the water. It's amazing what airplanes and trucks can do!
They also have a large selection of Saki. The pineapple was very good!
And of course the servers and sushi chefs did an awesome job.
