A surprise find for quick take out. The novelty was the crispy salmon roll, 3 whole pieces of rolls vegs and salmon, very well seasoned and did not need the the dip. Then there was was the seafood delight, which was truly delightful (pu n...intended). It was a large portion of mixed seafood (shrimp, green mussels, squid, scallops) and very bright colors of veggies cooked al dente.More

Being the only Thai place around probably makes this place stand out more than it should. The service and the food was average. There was plenty of food on each plate, but the flavor was purely in the spice.

I was so happy to find this little place the other day! I haven't had an opportunity to have great Thai food since moving to Texas, I'm sure there are great Thai places here, I just live in a remote area without many restaurants. I...was out with my mom and we wanted to have lunch, so I put Thai restaurants into the GPS of my car and a list popped up. Thai Spoon wasn't the closest, but I liked the name, so off we went. The staff is very welcoming and the menu is quite large, serving all of the Thai favorites that I am used to. We started with Thai coffee and Tom Kha soup. It's over 100 degrees in TX right now, but we both love this soup and thought it would be a great start. The coffee was wonderful, the perfect mix of coffee and sweetened condensed milk, and healthy portion over ice. The soup was fantastic! A little bit spicy (we asked for medium, you choose the heat for all of your dishes), creamy, and filled with mushrooms and chicken. We then both had yellow curry. It was excellent! A large portion (we both took some home) of chicken, potatoes, peas, and other veg, in a beautiful yellow curry sauce and a very large portion of rice. We are both looking forward to going back for more lunches and dinners, it was excellent.More

After a lengthy day in San Antonio the three of us were travelling back home and stopped for gas. It was dinner time, we were hungry, and decided to find a place to eat. After a quick Google search, Thai Spoon restaurant popped up and...we headed there. Located in a strip mall, we quickly found the place and went inside and were immediately greeted with friendly smiles. Small, space but had our choice of one of the tables or a booth spot. We were presented with menus and our wait staff, Marie, took our drink order. Wine and beer were served and we quickly maid our selections from appetizers of chicken pot stickers and spring rolls to entrees of Under the Sea Soup (squid, mussles, shrimp, scallops), to Cashew Chicken, Pineapple fried rice, and Sweet and Sour Chicken. We selected from a variety of spiciness for each dish, Mild, Medium, Hot, Very Hot, and Thai Hot. Food was served in a relatively quick time. Beautiful presentation and WOW, each dish was packed full of a myriad of flavors. The levels of spiciness were spot on and the Thai Hot made tears run down my cheeks, just as I had hoped! Jack, the boss man, is proud of his Thai heritage and welcomes customers with open arms and a friendly smile. The green sauce served with the soup was so delicious that we asked for a large container of it to take home. We were accommodated and paid our bill and left with promises to return again, soon, even though it is an hour away from us. This is one of those very good surprises you don't expect to find far off the main highway of Toll 130 in Austin, but well worth the drive.More

This place was awesome, it had all the available or usual food associated with what I know what to be real Thai food and Chinese food being passed off as Thai. What I ordered was not only delicious but had a good portion for a...guy that is very hungry. The people that work there are very friendly and will keep your cup filled with your favorite beverage.More

Went here for lunch on recommendation from a friend. Very nice staff. Tom yum soup was perfect flavor and size. Our party tried two different curries and a pad Thai. All very flavorful & spiciness was adjusted correctly for each person. I will be back.

Not the beat thai I have had but good. Lots of choices and good quantity. Pad Thai, red curry and pad kee mow were delicious. Would not recommend fried tofu as it’s very hard to chew. They charge extra for tofu which is weird compared...to other restaurants.More

Simply put, very good Thai! Had the red curry with chicken. Next time I’m in town, will try the Pad Thai. Thai ice tea was good, but Thai ice cream....wow! Staff was friendly and the atmosphere is nice and clean. The plating was visually appealing,...not just dumped into a bowl. Would definitely recommend.More

Second time to visit this restaurant, our son's favorite. My curry was excellent, and the other three also enjoyed their entrees. They don't seem to answer their phone. It kept ringing and ringing.

A big group of us from work came and only about half of us liked their food. The ginger dish surprised us, as it had so much sauce, it seemed like a soup. Another dish was similar, with a lot more sauce than expected, giving...it a soupy appearance, even though it was a dish with a big mound of rice in the middle, not like pad thai or vietnamese bun. My fried rice dish was good, although the onion pieces were large and the shrimp required tail removal. It was served on a plate, not in a bowl, and was a smaller helping than I get when I order shrimp fried rice elsewhere. Our lunchtime service was good and prompt enough. My very good friend says her children love this restaurant, but I don't think it's very special, even though I would be fine with returning.More
