We dined at Mesa Rosa many times. Salsa and chips are some of our favorites. All entre we tried were great. As in the title one of the best Mexican Martinis I have had.

This was our go to restaurant Christmas Eve or when we wanted Mexican food but other restaurants were busy. But sadly they shut down a few months ago so it's no longer open.

Note: The Mesa Rosa location at 2850 N. IH 35 has closed. This review is about Mesa Rosa on IH 35 before it closed and their primary location in Round Rock, Tx on 15515N FM 620, listed in Austin, Tx, but at the divide between Austin and Round Rock on FM 620. Great food selection at Mesa Rosa with portions... More

We eat here often and always enjoy it. My favorite is Monterey Chicken, delicious and a generous serving. I take half of it home for the next day, adding my own rice at home.

Met family for dinner and a catch-up. Not too busy for a Saturday night. Seated quickly. Service was low-key, but we weren't ignored. Enchiladas and fajitas looked fine (and no complaints from others). I took the waiter's suggestion and ordered Chile Relleno with fajita beef and tomatillo sauce. Pretty good, but not outstanding. I love Mexican food and this was... More

This restaurant closed several months ago and is currently undergoing massive renovations. Look for a new restaurant from the Jack Allen-Cover Three group that features seafood. SAlt Taster should fill a void in Round Rock of a high quality seafood restaurant. With the great success of their other enterprises, we should expect good things from this group

Some restaurants do everything right, but nothing extraordinary, hence the three stars. Went with a big group. The staff was friendly, took care of the reservation, added tables so all could sit together and did not mess up a single order. Huge menu, but it was all permutations of just same ingredients. Of course, no vegetarian options except porta potty... More

The problem with being average is that you're as close to the top. Nothing to loudly complain about and nothing to ave about. the queso was bland and the chips a bit stale. My cheese enchiladas were edible but very spice. Too much oil surrounded the enchiladas. my wife's sour cream enchiladas were just "blah". Sorry but if you just... More

Went for lunch on a Monday. Salsa was excellent...full of jalapeño, cilantro, and onion. Chicken taco was all white meat and very flavorful. Enjoyed the cheese enchiladas. Loved the queso. But I think my favorite was the guacamole. Super fresh and oh so delicious! Husband had the flamitos..chicken, bacon, and jalapeño appetizers...and he is raving about how delicious they are.... Had lunch here with my son. He had pulled pork Burrito and I had Carne Guisada. Both were delicious. Service was outstanding. Chips and Salsa came to the table within seconds of sitting down. We'll be back.

Thank John C
