This place is everything you expect from a great BBQ joint. Casual atmosphere. Friendly servers. Very tasty BBQ. We weren't really hungry so we opted for the child/senior portion and it was perfect for lunch. Brisket was excellent. Loved the potato salad and cole slaw. Nice touch - plate of sweet onions and chunks of dill pickle. That really added... More

We're new to Austin and on a bit of a budget. Decided to go to Salt Lick for a treat after all of the amazing reviews... It was unfortunately a huge let down. The brisket was dry and tasteless, the sides where just so-so.... and the portions were seriously small for the price. We left hungry and very disappointed.

Wasn't really a barbecue fan until I tried Salt Lick! Delicious and well-balanced barbecue flavor. Ribs were amazing and turkey was super moist. Ended with peach cobbler for dessert - definitely plenty for two to split it.

I've been wanting to try the original in Driftwood but haven't had the opportunity to make it there. When I found out about this location, I figured we'd give it a try. It was ok. Not what I was expecting or hoping for. I did like the potato salad and sausage. I still want to try the original location to... More

Delicious Meats, not to sure about the cheddar potato salad, but tasted OK. The pecan pies looked wonderful but was to full to try it

I didn't have anything that I didn't like but the sausage was extra good. My wife and I shared the Thurman dinner with an extra 1/4 lb of pulled pork. It was just the right amount of food for the two of us. The "hot" Bbq sauce is not hot.

Sandwiches were huge! We ordered two pulled pork sandwiches with coleslaw. Great flavor and very tender. A little disappointed in the side of fries. Small portion but crisp and tasty. Peach cobbler was good but not enough fruit. Overall tasty barbecue but pricy.

I enjoy several things about salt lick. I like their BBQ turkey, potato salad, but the best thing is the peach cobbler.

We met friends who live nearby and suggested this place for real Texas BBQ. They were so right! It was delicious! I wasn't a fan of the potato salad or coleslaw but the meat was soooo good! The sauce is perfect too. We got the Rancher which had beef, turkey, ribs and sausage. Delicious! The sweet potato fries were good.... More

Salt Lick was highly recommended by a tour guide and on my way out of town, I stopped by the Round Rock location. The service was absolutely incredible, I did enjoy the food (had the pork ribs and turkey combo plate) but not sure it's the best I've ever had - it's up there though! Next time, I'll try the...
