They should remove & fire Shana Witt ASAP!!! She’s horrible for business! I’ve supported since it opened & all these years of great service; until today The OWNER was rude & I experienced horrible hatred inflicted service from owner Shana Witt!!! I purchased 11lbs of...bbq yesterday & 4 more lbs today. Asked for 4 large BBQ sauce & was asked how much meat did I buy. I said 15lbs. She walked away to go confirm with staff & refused to give me 4 containers & only gave me 2. I said ok no problem & ma’am you’re tripping. I proceeded to the self serve of bbq sauce to make my own little containers that I needed for family lunch we were having. After I made 6 little containers she came & stood in front of the area to stare me down. She stated saying I could not have any more sauce & I told her please don’t speak to me so we have no problems. I’m making one more & leaving. She treated me poorly & snatched the basket off the counter so I couldn’t make another bbq sauce. There is no reason I should be harassed in this manner because of BBQ sauce!! I told her about her poor customer service & rudeness to customers. Mr Witt she’s bad for business. All customers should be treated fairly no matter what. If there is a charge for extra sauce I would’ve paid the price. However I was never given that option. Shana Witt is the worst person I’ve ever encountered in all my life. The evil in her eyes frighten me to my core. I absolutely love Witt Pitt but this experience has tarnished me horribly. Customers spend their hard earned money & should be treated nicely no mater what! I’m sure the 2 containers of bbq sauce I needed is thrown in the trash daily. I’m hurt & sad I was treated this way at my favorite bbq place in town.More

I traveled out to Texas for a Christian men's retreat and was looking for good BBQ. Well I didn't find good BBQ. I found GREAT BBQ!! I had the brisket and it was the best I had ever had. It had always been real greasy...from SC, where I live. The macaroni and cheese and buttered red potatoes were all excellent. I wish we had this restaurant in SC.More

We were in town for the Ft Bend Cty Fair, as a group we all love BBQ. Some in the group love to smoke their own meats so we have pretty high standards. We also try different BBQ's wherever we go. This was without a...doubt more than a pleasant surprise as we unanimously rated this the best briskett any of us had tasted. Two of us also tried the ribs which were supurb and the best ribs I had ever tasted. If anyone in the Houston area does not stop by here and try their food you will be missing out big time. We went back a 2nd time and it was just as good as the first time. Both time the service and staff working there were friendly , helpful and converssational with us. I'm 69 and this is the by far the best BBQ I have ever tasted. Try the peach cobbler too!!More

My husband drove 45 minutes for Texas brisket for us for supper. And 45 minutes back, so it had to be warmed up before we ate it. It was delicious. He commented on the fast and friendly service. Prices were reasonable. The brisket was excellent...and perfectly prepared...should be..tasty, moist, falling apart. My husband said the beans were the best he'd ever had. I would say the same about the coleslaw. We both had the red potatoes which were good, but probably would have been better eaten right away. Highly recommended.More

I’ve heard many of my friends speak of this place, decide to give it a try. I loved it, I’m a BBQ lover and this really hit the Spot! Adding a dessert to go (banana pudding) The prices are reasonable and friendly staff!

I had decided in advance of my trip that I wanted to sample some Texas BBQ while I was there. I selected The Witt Pit and was not disappointed. Everything was excellent but the brisket was incredibly moist , tender and tasty!

We both had the brisket plate, which somes with a 6.5 oz portion of good crusty brisket and 2 sides. The sides we tried were outstanding: buttered red potatoes and homemade coleslaw. They had a good selection of cold drinks. Good classic rock and roll...was the music of choice. Nice clean restaurant, the rest room was spotless. We will return!More

Brisket, ribs, sausage, sides ... all good. Best BBQ around. Drive past Rudy's and directly to The Witt Pitt ... you will thank me later. Rudy's = 1 star ... Witt Pitt = 5 stars.

My husband and I love BBQ (We are from Tx., What would you expect?) We have tried big chains, smaller independent places and NOTHING compares to Witt Pit. Their ribs are the best! We also like their brisket and sausage. They give you a large...amount for a great price. You have to save room for the homemade banana pudding or peach cobbler. They are closed Sunday & Monday and on the weekends you better get there before 7 or they may run out of the ribs. This place is our weekly Wednesday night meal. Try it!!!!More

Growing up in Texas, I’ve eaten MORE then my share of BBQ over the years. So when I kept hearing so many rave reviews of Witt Pit I’ll admit I had my doubts. Pulling into the PACKED gravel lot for this quaint little spot, the...aromas from the two giant smokers out back quickly put me at ease and I KNEW it was gonna be good! I got a sliced brisket sandwich combo with Mac and Cheese, and my husband ordered the sliced brisket plate with coleslaw and potato salad. There’s a drink and condiment bar with fresh, perfectly-brewed iced tea, pickles, onions, jalapeños, and crocks of warm, house-made BBQ sauce. The sandwich was PACKED with meat. And, OH, THE MEAT! I’ve never seen such a beautiful crust on a brisket. EVER! One bite of brisket and I was in love with the rich, deep, smokey flavor. It didn’t even need sauce, which was warm, slightly sweet, and had bits of onion in it, complementing the meat beautifully. For the sides, the mac & cheese was fresh, warm, flavorful, super-creamy, and perfectly cooked. The potato salad had a nice onion tang without being too much, and wasn’t overly “wet.” The coleslaw was good, but (in our opinion) not a standout like the potato salad and mac & cheese. Next time (and there WILL be a next time...SOON!) we’re gonna have to try the banana pudding!More

I was visiting family and they took me to their latest find. The brisket and the beans were the best I've had in town on my visits. I tasted the cobbler--and need to leave room next time!
