Excellent quality food with a fresh, wide variety. I highly recommend the Ankimo (monkfish liver and don't wince). It is somewhat like a pate but much smoother and no mealyness. So if you like pate, this dish is for you!! Oh, and the staff is very generous and attentive.

Sushi is great as well as everything else they offer. Nice atmosphere with comfortable seating. Hibachi tables with a nice show. Just a bit pricey compared to other restaurants that serve the same type of food nearby.

We ate here on a Sunday evening. Atmosphere is quiet, service was good, portions are small. The thing I learned is that I am not a big fan of Japanese food. If you are into Japanese food, I believe you would enjoy it.

5 of us arrived at 5pm for dinner to find out it would be a 45 minutes wait. After being seated for a hibachi dinner, the 5 of us were seated on a line, with the cooks back in my face. (see photo) Unable to vist with each othet or have conversation.

We have been enjoying Kyoto in Rockwall since they opened years ago. Tom Mach and his family operate the restaurant with a very personal touch. They offer both hibachi and ala carte at the table or sushi bar. I have never been disappointed there. My favorite menu is to start with low-salt edamame, enjoy a mixture of tuna and salmon... More

Went in to this establishment during monday evening. As expected, it was very slow. The restaurant smelled of musty carpet. We sat down and we're offered the menu. The menu was a big joke, because it was all over the place. Fried rice, steak, lobster, sushi, sashimi. It was like getting on a carousel and wondering where am I. I... More

Enjoyed the menu selection, the plum wine, the cook was very entertaining. The only issue is the parking can get very tight.

We went to another hibachi restaurant that apparently is no longer doing hibachi, so this was a last minute substitution. We went on a Saturday night. There was no wait. The chicken was so dry and tasteless! I enjoyed the noodles and the soup but that was it.

Stopped in for dinner on a Wednesday evening - restaurant was busy but not crowded. I was craving some sushi and Kyoto is a very short walk from the Hampton Inn in Rockwall. Service was solid throughout. My food was good but as far as sushi is concerned it rated as average. I enjoyed a Jade Roll and Shrimp Volcano... More
