Noisy place since it was probably an old home at one time so don't expect an intimate atmosphere. Besides that the food was great. We ordered the two choice lunch (salad & entree). They also have a three choice (salad, soup, entree, dessert). Great idea. Dishes were prepared & presented well. Included side dishes (potatoes & veggies) can be substituted... More

We have lived in Roanoke for 2 years and had always heard good things about this place so we finally decided to try it out for ourselves. The restaurant is in an old house so it is quaint and quite charming. We were greeted by the host and sat almost immediately for our reservation. Our waitress was wonderful and who... More

I took my wife there as we recently moved to Roanoke. It's one of the few places to dress up in Roanoke. Excellent rack of lamb along with many other chef selections. Reservations are a must on the weekends as it's very popular.

Classic has been a regular dining spot for us since our first visit several years ago. It just gets better and better. The imagination and skills of Chef Charles are second to none and his "specials" are unlike those anywhere else. The tastes are extraordinary, the device impeccable, and the portions are just right. Let sommelier Francis recommend the parfect... More

This restaurant is situated in a seemingly old house with lots of "rooms" to place diners. The food is fresh and well prepared and the wine list is GOOD!! The roasted garlic in puffed pastry was our starter followed by the "special" which was a fish prepared to perfection. I would definitely recommend "The Classic Cafe" to anyone wanting a... More

There is a small restaurant on Oak street (the main tourist street) in Roanoke, Texas, which does not limit the fare to traditional (common) teas meals, the Classic cafe'. in their use. I stumbled into his establishment late one noon hour, and found a wonderful menu complete with a very knowledgeable wine master. I have had a few things there... More

The atmosphere is quaint and charming. The service was excellent and the wait staff very friendly. Compliments to the chef! The food was outstanding. We had the sea bass and it was amazing. We will definitely return to the Classic Cafe! Suzanne and Mike

This is our favorite place to dine when dining locally. The Classic serves great food in a warm and relaxing atmosphere. The servers are attentive and knowledgeable, especially Chris. Francis the sommelier is just wonderful, we have enjoyed every wine he has recommended. Chef Charles puts together delicious menus and specials, we always enjoy the little tidbit he sends out... The Classic Cafe is a pleasant enough place, broken up into numerous dining rooms and a bar. Unfortunately, we were seated in what was essentially a hallway, and every coming and going, guest and/or staff, came and went right past us. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable on the menu and wine list, and attentive. I opted for the pork belly... More

Dragged my husband here to get a second taste of the creamy tomato basil soup. It was as yummy as I remembered. And because the soup of the day sounded great and made my choice too difficult...the waitress agreed to bring me a taste of the champagne Brie soup. So good. I had the tenderloin and mashed potatoes. Hubby had... More
