This is a very unique restaurant as they do not have menus. You order food by the pound and it is all served family style: They start with a plate of sliced tomatoes. Then we had the drum, shrimp, talapia all caught locally and super fresh. Their hushpuppies, fries and salads were tasty too. You can order beer but if... More

After 50 years of visiting the King's Inn, the food, atmosphere and service remain the same - GREAT! When visiting South Texas, eating here is a must. It's located right on the water with a lovely view during daylight. The fried shrimp are huge, oysters sweet, various fish (we had Drum and Catfish) all having a very light dusting of... More

I grew up eating here. I always look forward to going there every time I visit stateside. The taste and quality has not changed in the 30 + years that I have eaten here. It is expensive but worth every penny. Don't forget to take home some peanut brittle!

The Famous King's Inn is a South Texas original ,serving families fresh seafood in a beautiful bayside setting. For those of us who enjoy fresh seafood, this is a destination restaurant when we are in the area. We keep our order simple. We order shrimp. The server returns with a platter full of fried shrimp. These shrimp are fried to... More

On the way home from San Antonio I realized we could make dinner at King's. I've enjoyed this place since I was in college, not always able to make it when it's open, so when there's an opportunity, I take it! Make a reservation! I really enjoy being served family style, the staff is young and energetic. This particular evening... More

From the moment we walked in, we were hoping to love the place. Our waitress was really cool but the service was sub standard. Slow service, very expensive, and the menu is very limited. We didn't even get an actual menu to see what's to offer. That's fine with me, though. The place looks raunchy, and very outdated. The food,... More

All the locals enthusiastically recommend this place when you ask for places to eat dinner. In the past, I had been in Kingsville on Sunday and Monday--nights when The King's Inn is closed. This time I was there on a Tuesday and was rewarded with a nice bay side seat and great service...and the food! Yes!! Best fried shrimp ever!... More
