This is an old Richardson favorite. It's tucked away and you have to know where it its but it's worth it. My favorite is the Hickory Sauce burger. Tiny room so we usually take out.

I don't really even like hamburgers all that much and I love Del's. Their burgers are perfect; thick, juicy, just the right size, and with an amazing charcoal taste. Everything is homemade and it shows in the taste. Also don't miss their amazing homemade root beer. It's definitely a hole in the wall, but there's a reason they've been around... More

I am a cheeseburger fan, hamburgers are not my thing.... but when I go to Del's, I eat a hamburger due to it is so good, you don't need the cheese. The meat is that good! The burgers are not thin as someone wrote but they are not a huge piece of meat, they are perfect. Try the homemade root... More

Nothing fancy - just good burgers like you seldom encounter in the past 20 years or so. Great flavor and stacked up however you want 'em. Tasty sweet potato fries and delicious homemade root beer served in frosty mugs. Just like the '60s ( but priced for the current millennium). Actually pretty reasonably priced for the bonus of "time travel"!

My family celebrated our teenage son's weeknight birthday dinner at Del's - they love the house made root beer, big burgers, fries/tots/onion rings...and to top it all off - the deep fried twinkies! The dining area is not that big, but during the week there was plenty of seating. You can smell the charcoal from the flaming grill when you... More

Top notch burgers made how you like it. Hoss took over Del,s some years ago and only thing that has changed is that its much cleaner. Home made root beer in a frozen mug and tater tots with cheese and your cooked over fire burger is worth the trip. Thanks Hoss

Visited Del Charcoal Burger today. Loved the atmosphere---a lot of Old memorabilia. The burgers were good, not great. Patties were thin vs the likes of Maple and Motor. Service was average---order taker/cashier seemed to be having a bad day and was a bit grumpy. No service with a smile. Will try again to see if service levels change.

I always get the charbroiled turkey burger with mushrooms and swiss on a wheat bun and it is so good I crave it usually once a week. My husband gets the beef burger and he absolutely loves it. I never considered myself a burger person, but even though I have to drive 30 minutes to get here now, I still... More
