Adventure in tastes

I learned of this restaurant from Food TVs Diners, Drive-ins, & Dives. So, I was surprised to find this new building (then I noticed the original building next door). First time at Afrah's new big building, entrance was interesting opening into the kitchen area. Seated quickly, quick friendly service. Really enjoyed the fresh soft pita and Cucumber with Yogurt, yum! Shared a large plate combo Shawarma (Chicken, beef and lamb kabobs) with hummus and rice. ($16) Chicken was tender/tasty, but lamb was tough. Don't miss the Gelato, especially the... More

Went yesterday for lunch. We were a bit confused by the lady directing us where to sit but after moving once there was no issue. Huge buffet and even persons like myself who are not crazy about middle eastern food will find plenty to satisfy their tastes. I have a tendency to eat way too much at all buffets including... More

We would go to this restaurant maybe once or twice a month...always wonderful. The last two times..not so wonderful. We haven't had the same mouth watering super soft pita and hummus since they moved. This last time I asked if we could have some fresh pita. The waiter was nice and brought a piping fresh hot basket of pita...but the... More

The new Afrah Restaurant is now one of my favorite places to eat Middle Eastern food! The buffet had a well-stocked variety of dishes. I especially enjoyed the fish and the chicken dishes for entrees. Fresh fruit and salads were both colorful and tasty. It feels like I am eating healthy there because I am! The mango and strawberry desserts... More

I use to love this place it had the small family restaurant feel I enjoyed, people created you by name. My kids had something close to homemade and healthy here an it use to be affordable. Once new building was built everything went down hill.. Service is bad an food isn't the same. If you don't know real mediteranian food,... More

We went here on the advice of friends who had enjoyed it before they moved next door. Unfortunately, the experience was not enjoyable. The beef dishes were so overcooked and tough to render them barely edible. The shwarma and kabobs were the texture of jerky. The chicken and lamb fared better, but were ordinary. The restaurant was noisy, but clean.... More

I've been to my fair share of Mediterranean restaurants, but Afrah is classic and never gets old! The chicken is always cooked perfectly, pita bread is always fresh and their service is always excellent! If you are looking for a good Mediterranean restaurant in the Richardson area...well you won't find anything better than Afrah!

Even though it is a bit on the expensive side but I have been here every time I am in DFW. Their food quality and taste is top notch and that hasn't changed. Outdoor sitting area is a really wonderful feature.
