Great Breakfast

We stopped in for an early breakfast, my companion had eaten there before so knew how good the food is. We were greeted at the door & asked if we would prefer smoking or non-smoking, as there are separate rooms. This is a typical small town country place, with very interesting "old time" decor (see the photo). We chose breakfast tacos which were absolutely huge!! We both wound up with "to go" boxes. The coffee was excellent and the service was friendly. The cook stopped by to make sure everything was as we wanted. Now, this is not a fancy place - but if you want good food at a reasonable price with friendly service, this is the place.

If you are traveling threw make sure and stop by this local dinner. Lots of options and great southern comfort food. Pies and cobblers are fantastic!

This place beats Denny's or iHop on any given day!

I paid less than $3.00 for a big bowl of broccoli cheese soup. It was sooo good. My friend got fresh, home-style biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were so hot, she had to wait for them to cool off in order to eat them. And you should've seen the coconut cream pie! The merengue was a mile high!

Enjoyable breakfast

3.5 star. Basic small town cafe with a good and hearty breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful, but our server had to be reminded of two items to bring. Should we be in Pottsboro in the future, we would be happy to have breakfast there again.

This place was a good alternative instead of eating expensive breakfast at the resort at which we were staying. Nice server. Food just very average. Pancakes were a good size for the kids. Eggs were small servings so if you order eggs and like them I'd ask for extra.

Hole In The Wall Kind Of Place

We didn’t get to read all the reviews before walking in. The second the door opened I was hit with the smell of cigarette smoke. I almost turned right around to leave but we were greeted immediately and asked if we wanted smoking or non. There were about 10 people in the smoking room so it was pretty nasty smelling in there. I’m grateful there was a non smoking room. (Which is to the right of the porch if you want to go straight to the non smoking room). I’m grateful because it was a nice, yet somewhat rundown place. The restroom was also the laundry room and the toilet needed a good scrubbing! But the service and food were good. We both had the burger and my husband said it was the best burger he’s had. The fries are just regular frozen type fries and we asked if the onion rings were hand breaded or frozen. They are frozen. We looked on the daily specials board and saw they had chocolate meringue pie. We ordered a piece but were told they were out. I did notice the soft drinks were brought out in cans so I’m guessing if you want refills that could add up quick. All in all it was an ok place. It could use a paint job and definitely a good scrubbing in the restroom but the food and service are good and that’s what we were hoping for.

You most definitely get your money's worth here. Big portions but not big price. Definitely recommend anyone coming to the lake check this place out. Only opened for breakfast and lunch.

Great Homecooked Breakfast

Went to Mom’s for breakfast and it was really good. The eggs were fresh and bacon good, both cooked just as we asked them to be. Love the small town cafe atmosphere. Very good food for the price. Take time to visit this place

Just get it and you'll be happy. Happy until dinner time. Salsa is good!! Coffee always good. Service friendly. Nice collection of Coffee Mugs.

Love little town cafes

Met someone at Moms last week. Love cost small town cafes. They doubled in size and now have one room non smoking. Had chicken fried steak. Was delicious with great cream gravy. Can’t wait to go back.

Best Home made lunch

Hubby and I had their chicken fried steak lunch; mine with onion rings. They bread their own steak, it was crispy and thick. They make their own desserts. I had their 8” high coconut meringue pie and Hubby had bread pudding. Delicious!

Always a great meal at Mom's

We eat at Mom's Cafe every time we come to the lake. Everything we have ordered has been great! Mom's has wonderful home cooking. Prices are very reasonable. Save room for pie. She makes great pies!
