If you want the best breakfast in a "locals" restaurant, then this is it. We have been coming here for several years. Best Huevos Rancheros I've ever had. Waitresses always moving, keeping your coffee full. They are always busy in the morning, but we have never had to wait on table. Great coffee, great breakfast!

George is actually from Greece. So if you want a gyros sandwich, it's authentic! They also cook pit bbq weekly.(You'll need to ask how fresh) Meican food, chicken fried steaks, salads and more are all equally great. If you like breakfast, it's all day! I love iced tea, so to tell you that their glasses are big is no stretch!... More

My wife and I wanted a sitdown meal after an all day drive to Post from the coast. We looked at the extensive menu and found much to our liking. No doubt George's is a social place for locals as well as tourists passing through. The prices are very moderate and the portions are huge. I ordered the Texas staple... More

Traveled through post, tx this wkend and stayed for the night. Asked the front desk and she suggested this restaurant. Satisfied with the meal. Service was alittle lacking. Please note they do not accept cards. Cash or check only. Prices were good although my son's meal was more than ours.

My friend and I traveled through Post (Tx) on our way up to Nevada, and then back a couple days later. Stopped on way up; had lunch with good food and pretty decent service. The young lady kept our tea and water filled and checked on us regularly. But when we came back a couple days later on our return,... More

After a bit of having hotel breakfast decided to try George's. We had everything from breakfast burritos to my pork chop and eggs. This was some mighty fine vittles, and we all will be giving George's a few more visits as we pass back thru this town.

My husband and I were on our way back home and stopped there to eat. We ordered chicken fried steak and their were way over cooked and our mashed potatoes were cold and the waitress wasn't very attentive.

We stopped here on our way home. We had a hard time finding a place to eat as it was Sunday, and driving through mostly small towns. I had the turkey special. The meal came with a salad, turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese and veggies. The turkey was great as was the mashed potatoes, dressing and gravy. We... More

We travel though Post every 3 months and alway eat before we pass through. But this time we got out of Lubbock without lunch and decided to give it a try. The wings were AMAZING! When I ordered they told me cash only so I knew upfront before I ordered. We took our food to go and I tipped the... More

Great fresh food. Had the chicken fried steak dinner. Great service on a Friday night. All the locals were eating there.
