We arrived around 8:30 AM on a Sunday for breakfast. They were busy and we were not sure if we should wait to be seated. A customer noticed us and motioned that we should just find a spot. We did and were shortly acknowledged by...the waiter, given a menu, and asked what we would like to drink. My wife needed time to study the menu, as she wanted to try a Mexican breakfast. After the waiter explained what a breakfast contodo was ($4 for "small" one), she ordered that and I stuck to my usual ham and cheese omelette.($6). We both enjoyed the reasonably priced breakfast. Service was fast and friendly. When we were done, we walked up to the cash register to pay. They take charge cards and are open Friday - Wednesdays 7AM- 3PM. A lovely portrait of Isabel hangs in the eating area. Don't leave Port Isabel without eating here!More

If you are looking for good food, inexpensively priced, you have found it. don't mess around, order the Tex-Mex plates. Breakfast tacos are big and filling. For lunch you cannot beat the "con todo with carne picadillo". This place is down to earth. There is...no fancy here. Tables are small and it may be crowded, because it is a local favorite. But I think it is worth the wait. Be casual, comfortable and enjoy yourself.More

Visited for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. Clean, bright environment with friendly staff. Homemade tortillas are the best. Friends ordered the #1 plate - two enchiladas, one taco served with beans and rice for $6!!! What a deal! Food came out quickly. The small Carne...Guisada Contodos consisted of a tender beef stew in a homemade tortilla topped with lettuce, tomato, onion and cheese. All for $4!! This was a great local restaurant in Port Isabel. Will be back!More

Here on SPI and Port Isabel, the tap water isn't very good. Most places serve and use filtered water. Not here. The coffee was off due to the unpleasant use of tap water. Eggs and sausage were ok, tator-tots were stale as if they had...been sitting around quite some time. Sorry, would not go back.More

Small restaurant with close seating. Kind of worn down yet super busy. Clearly a local favorite as waiting area was heavily occupied. Price was Very inexpensive and portions were plenty though not overly so as at so many restaurants. Staff was polite but not attentive...losing my friend’s order and long delay in getting the food. Management is not inclined to apologize let alone discount in case of problems. Bathrooms are oddly placed. Moderately clean.More

Stopped in for a hearty breakfast and was very happy we did. If my Burrito looks like it as big as your head, it's BIGGER....

The staff were very helpful and friendly from entering to paying and leaving. We had breakfast here and can’t complain at all. The large taco is definitely large and oh so filling. Can’t wait for our next time.
