Amazing food short wait... Get your own drinks, order at the counter, just wait for your food. You could pick your own table inside or outside. The sweet tea was 10/10. We sat outside and waited for our lunch. I got a coconut shrimp curry...taco with fries. The sauce was amazing and the food tasted fresh and the flavors were distinct. The fries tasted amazing with the sauces from the taco's and the ranch. The food was presented well and tasted delicious. The food did take time but not too long. I recommend this restaurant and if the weather is nice definitely sit outside it gives the experience a different vibe.More

Food was really good. They have enough food in their rice bowls to feed an entire army for a fortnight. They were short staffed so the service was slow but not horrible. Price was good and they have a variety of choices.

Irie's is at the top of our list for lunch. Their menu has lots of variety - something for everyone. I like the Dragon queso, the shrimp po'boys and the fried rice.

Ordered fried shrimp and flounder believing good reviews. First order was way overcooked so returned and second order a little better. Fried okra undercooked. Staff not very friendly. A pleasant place otherwise but our second visit was our last.

Had a wonderful lunch here Ate a great fish taco here complete with wonderful homemade sauces Great service and speedy fast delivery to my table The room has such an eclectic feel and the entire experience was delicious and unexpected

Great new location with a lot more seating, both inside and outside. Lots of selections. I had the vegetable spring rolls and garlic shrimp taco. Both were very good and were delivered to our table hot, very hot. Fast service and great food. Everyone in...our family group enjoyed our meals.More

I like to eat here for their rice bowl and their black beans. The problem with this restaurant is how dirty it is. The whole restaurant needs to be wiped down. The walls, the bathrooms and etc. I'm not sure how it passes the health...inspection.More

We have been here a few times and with each time the restaurant is just a little bit more dirty. The waves on the walls have old food all over them, the baseboards are very dirty. Makes me wonder if the front is this dirty...what is the kitchen like. Food was good but the dirty dining room was very disturbing.More

I had tasty tomato basil soup and a wahoo fish tortilla. They were good but not outstanding. Glad I tried it. The seafood baskets looked good.

We stopped in for lunch, having not been since they relocated, and it was nothing like the Irie's we were so fond of. The tacos were not as ordered, and a salad was nothing to write home about----one mouthful even tasted moldy. The staff had...a "didn't want to be there" attitude, so possibly just a sign of the times. Nevertheless, we have no desire to return.More

I reviewed Irie's two months ago, noting that the quality of their food had declined. I went back to see if things had improved and I reject to say they have gotten worse. Their business strategy is clear: rather than raising costs to respond to...inflation they are cutting quality. The portions are smaller, the sauces are watered down, and the ingredients are lower grade. They also seem to be rushing the food out the door faster. The problem with cutting quality is that quality at fair prices was exactly what made Irie's such a special place. No longer. It's sad to see a once reputable restaurant cannibalized like this. The double tragedy is that most tourists won't care both because they are on "vacation" and don't want to kvetch about the food and also because they have low expectations for resort food to begin with. Still, Irie's was special for those who cared about great value and that place is no more. Another victim of the pandemic and its fallout :-(More

If you like pretty looking food with great presentation then this is the place for you. If you like great tasting food, not so much. Of three meals, two were completely inedible as was the expensive appetizer. Two orders of "Fire Grilled Wahoo with Hush...Puppy Sides" both had fish overcooked literally to the consitency of jerky - too dry to be palatable. The Hush Puppies in both orders were hard as a rock, they couldntt be cracked by squeezing them as hard as you can and the little bit of softer inside is as tasteless as saw dust - like they were frozen, thawed and thrown on the tray. The order of three skewers of Sate Chicken was also extremely over cooked and dry to the point it could barely be chewed. The sweet potatoe fries with the Shrimp meal were as mushy as baby food and greasy which only made the 6 pieces of shrimp for $25 that much more dissappointing. We are not hard to please and only expect what we pay for but $80.00 for three meals and an appitizer, most of which was not edible threw a huge damper on what was meant to be a special Valentine Day meal.More

What a great place to eat! When we came to Port Aransas, we were sure hoping to eat some amazing shrimp because we live in the central United State, and there really is no great seafood. We were not disappointed coming to Irie's! The shrimp...was big, fat and yummy! The atmosphere was very pleasant and the gal who took our order was very kind and helpful. I asked what was her favorite, and she said the Krackatoa Shrimp. It was fabulous. My husband had the Jumbo Gulf Shrimp and they lived up to their name! Just delicious. The portions are large so come hungry! We highly recommend this great family-owned restaurant. We will definitely be coming back during our vacation in Port Aransas.More

I’ve visited Irie’s twice this vacation. The restaurant is cheerful and comfortable, the staff welcoming and helpful. Both the tacos and the bowls are delicious. Every one of the sauces was so unique and good. We will be back!
