Like to take out of town folks here for lunch - the wide variety of foods is a nice showcase for what many of them expect from "Texas cuisine". Wild boar is always a treat, as are the burgers.

Server was very attentive. Food was good to very good. I had the smoked prime rib sandwich which was slightly above average. If you want a treat go for an order of the loaded home made potato chips which were excellent. Loaded with cheese, bacon crumbles and green onions with a scoop of sour cream. Restaurant atmosphere was south west... More

We have been here a few times and never had a problem. Today was different. It was cold so we moved tables which was accommodating. We ordered and 3/5 people had something wrong with their plate. I had a hair on my plate. Everyone else had something cooked wrong or the wrong sides. There was no apologizing except making excuses... More

I was with two friends and we all really enjoyed our meals. The service was quick and friendly. Portions were big, I recommend splitting a meal to... More

We had a family dinner our last night in the Plano, TX area. The menu is huge but our server was more than helpful in our selection process. This place has to have the largest serving of chicken fried steak that we have ever seen! Very tasty, served with corn on the cob and mashed spuds. My wife had brisket... More

Love and War in Texas is kind of hard to explain. It is gown home Texas cooking and some really good almost gourmet meals. The chicken fried steak is excellent/ Large slabs of tender steak fried the way grandma did, with a very good cream gravy. Excellent Tex-Mex and good Galveston seafood compiment the big rib-eye steaks. My only complaint... More
