I ordered two dishes. The first was spare ribs which is usually an appetizer at most restaurants but is in the pork section of the menu. The menu states that the ribs use NY sauce and since I love Chinese ribs in NY restaurants, i...thought I would try it even though the price, $10, was very high for four ribs. The ribs were dry and tasteless, very bad. I also ordered beef flat noodles, known as Chow Fun in NY and many other restaurants. It was OK at best. But instead of calling up I used the web to place my order. Since they had my credit card information before I picked up the food and avoided having to spend time on the phone, I was shocked when I realized that I was paying $1.50 extra to place the order online instead of calling up the restaurant. I can't recommend this restaurant to anyone.More

Canton Express has great casual Chinese food. The restaurant is simple and clean in a strip center, but large portions and very good flavor. I loved the hot and sour soup. Very reasonably priced with excellent service! I'm so glad I found this place!

Ordered takeout from Canton Express on a recent business trip to Dallas. The restaurant is a simple storefront with some tables but it seems the main business is takeout. I ordered online and the order went through fine with just one issue I’ll describe shortly....When I got to the restaurant my order was ready and the cashier was friendly and efficient. Breakdown of my order and my thoughts: Pot Stickers: The menu said steamed or fried. I requested pan fried (because, of course) but they came deep fried. That aside, the filling was flavorful and they weren’t bad. I couldn’t tell if they were hand made but I suspect not, more likely of the frozen variety you can get at any good Asian market. Chicken & Broccoli: Traditional brown sauce, white meat chicken. Good flavor. There was an option to order extra chicken which I did but that was probably a mistake. There was plenty of chicken to be sure but not enough broccoli, but that’s on me not the restaurant. Chicken Fried Rice: Decent. I always order my fried rice without peas and carrots (a sure sign of Americanized food) and then see what other vegetables might be present. There were none in this order, so peas and carrots must be all that they add typically. Still, the flavor was good and there was a decent amount of chicken present. WonTon Soup: This was a pleasant surprise versus most basic won ton soups you can get. There were different vegetables such as broccoli and cabbage in the soup and it was quite good. Spring Roll: Basic spring roll, good flavor. Nothing spectacular but it was tasty. All in all, I enjoyed my order from here and would probably go back the next time I’m in the area.More

We needed a fast dinner while with family at the Baylor Heart Hospital across Preston Road. The staff was friendly and the food was good. There also seems to be a large take-out service. The restaurant is located in a strip shopping center on the...west side of Preston filled with simple tables and booths. Not fancy but met our needs. Would return.More

They have prompt service, average food, ok premises. Had egg foo young, it was good but not superb like Mangos. Their premises is old but serviceable. I found the experience acceptable but not special.

We ordered takeout. I had the spicy vegetable fried rice and it was very good. My husband had the cashew chicken and he said it was awesome. The vegetable egg roll I could have lived with or without period but the crab rangoon was phenomenal!...Very large portion as well. It was pretty good for Chinese takeout so we will probably eat there again. Oh I did not like the General Tso sauce. It was a very dark brown color and it had a very soy sauce like taste- not sweet tangy. Other than that it was absolutely great.More

I visited this location for the first time today. Very nice greeting upon entering. Because I could not have sugar, I asked specifically how they made the Vegetable Fried Rice and Vegetable Egg Foo Yong. I explained how another restaurant put the vegetables in the...bottom and the egg foo yong on top with the sauce on side. The young lady said that they put the sauce on the side. Which was fine. I get home and find out that the sauce had the vegetables within the sauce. Which means I can't eat the meal other than the vegetable fried rice. $10 bucks wasted. The restrooms also smell of mildew as well. Would not recommendMore

After a long day of travel from Pittsburgh, I wanted something simple for lunch and Canton Express was just across the street from my hotel. Normally I love cheap Chinese food, lots of flavor, huge portions, little cost. Canton Express was at least cheap, but...not much else. The wonton soup was the first course. The broth tasted like nothing more than water and you get one wonton in the cup. The overabundance of fried wonton was a nice touch however. The main course was Hunan beef and fried rice. I asked for extra spicy which you can tell they tried to accomplish by the extra peppers in the dish, but it was not quite to the level I like. I do give the A for effort here though. The dish itself was good, but a bit too much oil left on the plate that separated from the sauce. The 'fried' rice was anything but. It was dry, almost looking and tasting like it was a day old. It was scooped with a portion scoop and put on the plate. It had not vegetable, egg or pork that typically are found in fried rice. The egg roll was delicate and a nice change from the normally huge version I typically see. However, it lacked flavor which in the overall scheme of this meal is par for the course.More

I went at lunchtime and it was pretty quiet and my service was fast. The Egg Drop Soup was really unusual. It was super thick and golden yellow in color. Everything was hot. (Temperature). They could add more onions, carrots, pineapple and bell pepper for...me. They deliver to The Heart Hospital and Baylor Regional right across the street. There is a $12 minimum for delivery. They are a bit hard to find. They're in a strip mall by Luna Del Noche near Denny's. Their last Plano Department Inspection Report score was a "C". They had a "B" previously.More

Had a hankering for Chinese but didn't want to sit in and eat. saw this place and decided to give it a go. Small and efficient - great selection and has a lunch menu for quicker choices. I didn't have much time to wait and...surf the internet before my S/S chicken was ready to go. Interestingly, the S/S sauce was on the side of the crispy chicken, allowing me the choice of dipping or pouring over - first I've seen that and I kinda like it! If you want quick Chinese, this is your place.More

I did not see the item I wanted on their menu but after telling them what I wanted, they made it for me. I had more food than I could possibly eat. Service was very good. Polite and prompt.

Near baylor hospital, staff friendly and attentive. Food was served quickly, hot and fresh, generous portions. I love hot&sour soup and this rated a second bowl. Had the sweet&sour pork as did my mom, it was delicious and hubby had mongolian beef, said it was...spicy-the first true he's had in years.More
