Best Thai Restaurant in Plano

Having tried several so called Thai restaurants in the area this one is by far the best and even during these COVID times their take away is just as good as their dine in. I would encourage any lovers of thai food to try this one. Special note: spice ratings range from 1-5 with 1 being just a hint of spicy and 5 being "break out the cold towels" spicy

Fantastic local Thai.

Amazing local Thai find. Incredibly clean and well decorated. Superb attentive service. Stopped in for dinner on a recent business trip and had the Pad See Ew. It was delicious and an ample portion! Would go back in a heartbeat.

Delicious Thai!

We have ordered take-out here multiple times and have been pleasantly surprised with the excellent food and prompt, efficient take-out process. Portions are good and food is very flavorful. We especially like the curry. So glad to have this gem in the area!

Always an inviting atmosphere!!

The Ruang Thai is a little more upscale compared to other Thai restaurants in the area. But nicely quiet The food is always well prepared and very fresh. It is family-owned so you will always be welcome.

Worth going out of your way

Our daughter (who lives locally) suggested this spot, so my wife and I tried it for lunch. The menu has all of the usual suspects one would expect in a Thai restaurant,but the food is executed in a simply excellent manner. Absolutely delicious, reasonably priced, served in a pleasant atmosphere with attentive, friendly, and rapid service. Outstanding!

5 Star Service and Food

We wish we had found this restaurant earlier! Outstanding duck red curry. My husband had pork red curry. He ordered his at a #3 spice level and mine was at a #4. Both levels were as expected. We had jasmine hot tea and coconut hot tea which came served with optional honey and lemon. We ended with coconut ice cream. Everything was excellent. We loved all the matching china! It is BYOB.

What a nice surprise!

I headed to Plano for a meeting early to miss traffic and stopped in here for a quick bite and a little work. You know those rare times you find a place in the service industry that actually realizes that's the business they're in? So refreshing! The tea was cold and the food was HOT! Just like I like it. They even brought me a small dish of delicious peppers I'd never seen before to bump the heat up a notch. BYOB, so plan ahead if you prefer alcohol with your meal. Such lovely people! Will definitely be back!

Food is a pleasant surprise at local Thai place. Owners are Thai natives and food represents them well. Portions are plentiful and very tasty. The one challenge is each dish came out staggered so our party ate in stages vs together. That said didn't dampen the quality of the dishes. We shared starters and the mains which is way to sample variety of the dishes

Quick service, good portions and tasty

Nice local restaurant. Very quick service and food is good quality. I would not call it 100% authentic as I love my Thai food, but it is a good quality restaurant. WE ordered the Tom Yum and green thai curry to share and it came quicklyto our table, was filling and the quality of ingredients good. The flavor was not exactly thai and this is why I have rated it a little lower
