Went for a business dinner, this my first visit, it was an excellent option. The food is mostly local, cooked from scratch and therefore fresh and very tasty. I had live wood grilled salmon on a bed of veg. The service is excellent and the prices are reasonable I would recommend a visit.

Long wait on a Saturday night for a table (over an hour) but it was worth it. We shared the goats cheese fondue (not too rich- cheese was deliciously smooth, I wish there was a few extra crackers/bread for the cheese though) My friend and I split the Asian pork sandwich and the chicken cheese melt- both good, the pork... We love the unique menu at Whiskey Cake. The truly embrace farm-to-table and the freshness is obvious. It's good for couples and families and there is something interesting and delicious for everyone!

I ate lunch here with two of my friends and we all enjoyed it. From the individual French Press Coffee to the amazing presentations of food, everything tasted fresh and delicious. We tried the Chicken and Cheese sandwich which was bursting with flavor. The cheese and bacon with the pesto sauce was great. My friends had the B.E.L.T. and both... More

Love the place! Honestly, once you get over the wanna-be hipster wait staff (they are efficient though), everything is awesome! Try the burger or the ramen...both are great!

People keep recommending this place because we're vegetarian. I'm just not seeing why this place is so loved. There's nothing wrong with it. In fact, it's quite pleasant. It's just not that great and for vegetarians it's very limited.

This is an outstanding farm-to-table restaurant. All of their ingredients are locally sourced. They also have a good sister restaurant in Irving called the Ranch.

Our 1st visit and review was great and then we went back. Average food at best, cold AC (and moved twice), and the music was so loud that we could not hear the people we were with (asked to turn down 3 times). Service was good and cheery and the whiskey cake good enough to return for take-out. This was... More

Whiskey Cake was a good bet for "so hipster it must be ironic and fun," like St. Louis's Shaved Duck. It wasn't ironic. It was so desperately hipster that everything after the lovely artisanal goat cheese fondue appetizer was a let down. Lumberjack shirts and dynamic beards do not substitute for consistency. The giant onion ring topping one burger was... More
