This restaurant is simply a must see as well as digging into the food! Best ox tail dish west of the Mississippi (LOL)! Best Jamaican rice & beans I've had since our visit to Jamaica in 2012. A must try.

Jamaican Funk that's what it is.

Just like chorus for the old school song by Tom Browne, "Jamaican Funk...that's what it is", your taste buds will be singing; you'll feel funky and groovy, especially if you are one of those who dance when you taste good food. "It's the real thing man," the sign on the door boasts. It's real good is all i know. It was my first time tasting Jamaican food but it won't be my last. I had no preceived notions about what to expect so i was pleasantly surprised. This food isn't for everybody, but if you like savory, flavorful food that comforts your belly and satisfies your soul, give Tony's a taste.

My daughter ordered the beef patties and I had the veggie patty. They were pretty good. We also had the mango-pineapple drink. The menu was pretty nice and the chef is making authentic Jamaican food. I will definitely be back.

As close as it gets

Tony's is as close as it gets to Jamaican Jerk chicken. You can clearly taste the fresh allspice and scotch bonnet peppers. Although I liked it, my wife did not care for that added sauce poured over the jerk. The peas and rice are better than I had in Jamaica. I was suprised not to see ackee and saltfish. The oxtail or goat are delicious. I did not care for the jerk pork, mainly because they use lean pork loin, it is very dry. I would rather pork chops.

The lunch specials during the week, except Tuesdays 'cause they're closed, are a phenomenal deal. I got to eat all of the spicy jerk chicken plate which came with plantains, rice and cabbage...my wife doesn't do heat. She let me taste her brown stew chicken and it was almost as good as mine. The service was very friendly and timely, we were made to feel at home. We'll be back for more goodies, may try some roti next time.
