Being from Central Texas (Austin and Lockhart) the capital of BBQ, this is some awesome BBQ. Had the 2 meat plate and I couldn't finish it all. The portions are enormous. I had the sliced brisket and pork ribs and my wife had the sliced brisket and the smoked chicken. Both were excellent. I also really liked the Mac and... More

Everything is good, hint get there early it's a popular place and they do tend to run out! My favorite is the Large baked potatoe with turkey very good! Bbq excellent and the family that runs it are courteous and very hard working!

Small place, kind of hot, runs out of food, crowded, noisy and the best pulled pork I've found in west Texas. Generous portion, not cheap but worth it. Only negative was the overuse of pepper. Will go back if I have a chance.

Very small restaurant. Wonderful brisket and the green chili-cheese hominy is quite tasty. They run people through pretty quick. This has become a regular stop for us when traveling through Pecos. FYI- they close between Christmas and New Years Day.

Pody's has got it together. Easy to find, GREAT BBQ!, friendly staff, GREAT SIDE ORDERS!, interesting decorating, DELICIOUS SAUCE!, and a terrific owner. We arrived less than hour before closing time and the folks were pretty enthusiastic about making us feel welcome. Though menu choices were limited by the late hour, the ribs I got were EASILY THE BEST EVER... More

If you travel to the only National Park of Texas, the gorgeous BIG BEND, you could eat at this place. They use mesquite and others wood to cook nice pork chops, really good sausages and brisquet. The potato salad is also good.

Found myself hungry and looking for a place to eat while driving across Texas. Pody's had the best ratings on Trip Advisor, so that's where we went for lunch. You stand in line to place your order, then your number is called when your meal is ready and you pick it up. Very self-serve and casual. Concrete floors, picnic tables,... More

Passing through Pecos and coworker suggested stopping. Busy place and relatively small. Ordered the brisket plate. Very good brisket which was thickly sliced and moist. Good sides and generous with pickles, onions and jalapeños. Good food and rang the bell to say thanks.
