If you are coming through Orange, Texas this is one of those "must stop" places to eat. At one time the building was a milk factory. There are a lot of historical photos hanging inside the building. But the food....you are in for a real treat. I would say it has a southern New Orleans flair. When you look over... More

My wife and I had a lunch date on my off day with no kids. Excellent food, great service, reasonable prices.

The Old Orange Cafe is the "go to, ABSOLUTE favorite place to go" for me and my best friend since third grade! I have lived in Orange, Texas, all of my 47 years: my Daddy (Lord, rest his soul) was born in Orange, Texas, and I recall hearing my daddy talking about the Old Orange Cafe, before it was the... I work close by, so Old Orange Cafe has become the standard to compare lunches to!! They offer an array of sandwiches, salads and have a daily special that includes dessert. For the truly hungry, they offer heavier meals like hamburgers, salmon and others. Housed in a former "milk house", the atmosphere is casual, the service is quick and the... More

I've lived in Orange over a year now and finally found this wonderful restaurant. I went for lunch and was very satisfied with all aspects of the restaurant. The salads are large tasty and fresh. I ordered the chicken portabella and thought it was prepared perfectly, presented well and very yummy! None went home with me! Mom would have been... More

Our Wednesday art class always eats lunch but we hadn't been to old Orange cafe for awhile. The short version is that the menu is varied, the food is great, big portions, and fabulous service. 10 older women had a variety of dishes and no complaints! It is a little noisy but that is easily forgiven.

The salad greens are gritty. We found out from some of their kitchen help that they don't wash their lettuce.

I have lunch here a couple of times a month. I have my favorites on the menu (Spicy Chicken, Shrimp tacos and Pulled Pork). I have never ordered anything that was not good though. Check out their special for the day either on the website or the chalk board when you walk in. The bread pudding is great for dessert!

Love going to this old place, takes you back in time. The menu is very diverse and has plenty of offerings. The staff was so nice and accommodating, this makes me proud of our little town. Honorable, hardworking people still exist. That alone makes this place exceptional!
