The Hut is the best place in Orange, Texas to get boiled crawfish, red potoes and corn and their ribs are great also!

The turkey pit master is my favorite, but really haven't tried anything that I didn't like. Great friendly service.

Thank you for the review. Did you know we have an off menu Pit Master called Double Trouble where you can pick two meats?

This is some of the best barbecue you can find in Orange. It is a small drive through. Quick in and out. Great service, and food.

While passing through Orange on our way to Lake Charles, we stopped at the Hut after reading so many good reviews on Trip Advisor. We ordered the brisket sandwiches and what we got was thin sliced tasteless meat with no hint of bbq smoke or...flavor. All we could really taste was sauce. We also got sausage, not sure what kind that was, but not a fan! Am hoping that maybe this day was a fluke and just bad luck, coming at the wrong time, because of so many positive reviews. Maybe should have tried the turkey but really wanted Texas bbq. On our way back home we stopped at Buc-ee's and got brisket and sausage sandwiches that were actually very delicious and tasted much more authentic! Not sure if we'll give the Hut another chance.More

Hey There, I am super disappointed that you didn't have the experience we both expected! I would love a 2nd chance. Can I make it up to you? My manager, Mysti, is expecting you. If you will ask for her at the window, she will...More

After reading all the glowing reviews we were looking forward to our stop here on the way from San Antonio to Delta Downs. We both got the sliced brisket sandwiches and we got a link of sausage just to try it. We drove less than...a block away and parked to eat. The sandwiches were not hot, barely warm, almost as if the buns had been refrigerated. The meat was tasteless. It is sliced/shaved very thin (reminded me of Arbys beef sandwich) and had no smoked/BBQ taste at all. All we could taste was the sauce, pickles and onions. The sausage was a disappointment as well. It was just a link wrapped in foil, but they put sauce on it so it was SUPER messy. Neither one of us liked the taste or the consistency, it was a very soft/mushy texture almost like a canned vienna sausage. I hate to leave such a bad review, but the food truly was NOT up to all the glowing reviews we had read prior to going there. We both laughed and said we probably would have gotten good BBQ from the locals set up with a pit on a trailer behind their pickup selling out of a parking lot we passed them on the way to the Hut.More

Good morning. I hate that your experience wasn’t up to our standards. Can you narrow down the day and time so I can dig deeper into it? I would also like to make it up to you. Are you still in the area? Cyndi

Looked it up online and thought it was a sit down restaurant. When we drove up and found out it was Take Out that was even better. We ordered and had our meal within 5 minutes and took it back to our hotel and devoured...it.More

The BBQ sandwches are to die for... I feed my employees twice a month and they offer to drive over from Louisiana if i pay for lunch...the chipped beef and pulled pork will make your mouth explode!

The Hut has the best barbecue in the area hands down. It is a drive through only restaurant but worth every penny if you're craving true Texas barbecue.

Their barbeque is fantastic. Sides are wonderful as well and my husband loves their banana pudding. Although it is strictly a drive-thru, it is worth it and for their food I am willing to drive the extra miles and time from work to pick it...up before heading home in the evening.More
