So a friend of mine came into town and wanted to have German food. The reviews on here were mixed but we decided to give it a try. It's a little place that I never even noticed before. The food was awesome! The wait staff was a little less than enthusiastic but I don't really need someone to swoon over... More

Highlight first: the gentleman playing the accordion was friendly and very entertaining. This was the one redeeming quality of our visit. Lowlights: The restaurant is very warm - try to get a table under a ceiling fan because it is a little sweltering. Some of the menu items aren't actually available . I asked to get a Leberwurst sandwich and... More

We live around here and we often get tired of eating the same thing over and over. We tried this one Sunday lunch. Not too busy. Had the liver soup, lox sandwich and other things... So good. So different from the other restaurants offering same things. Will go again another time.

Probably the best German beer selection in this area. Everything is German influenced but you don't have to wear leiderhosen to get in. Authentic!

You have to eat German food while in New Braunfels. The German food here was very good with large portions. They also had a gentleman playing the accordion while we dined. My only complaint is that the restaurant's temperature was too hot. They needed to drop it another 2 or 3 degrees.

of the 6 meals ordered, 4 were not right. at the beginning of the meal, we asked for 2 separate checks (the restaurant was not busy), the final check was not separated. the bar request was for a glass of red wine which we were assured was only opened yesterday. the wine was sour and when a complaint was made,... If we could, we would rate this establishment a "0", but that is not available. This restaurant was probably the most stark, nondescript restaurant we have been in! Nothing on the walls except a map of Germany and their licenses. The atmosphere was depressing. The service was substandard. The older woman server was rude, trudging and when she dropped things, she... More

My husband ( of German heritage and lived in Germany for many years ) and I went to this restaurant for lunch Saturday. I had the sausage plate ( herbal ) with the green bean wrapped in bacon and the cucumber salad as my sides .. Very generous portions and absolutely delicious ... My husband had the weinerschnitzel with the... More

Good food and good service in a convenient location, but a bit pricey. I stopped in for lunch on a short business trip and will go back on some future trips but not all as it is more than I typically spend on a small plate. I had the lunch portion schnitzel with jalapeno cream gravy. It was a small... More

Great German find after coming from Little Gretal in Boerne for lunch . You can't have enough German food in one day you know . You know Tyler doesn't have German cuisine so we had to enjoy it while we could !!! Our server was a little rough around the edges very similar to the one we had at lunch... More
