Moved away 10 years ago but, being back in town to visit family recently we decided to go check it out again. It's still just as good as 10 years ago! You just can't get onion rings like these anywhere else. The catfish, same thing,...nobody else makes it quite like this. Little Buddy will always be my favorite order with a stack of onion rings! Highly recommended! 12/10 would definitely do again!More

Service was attentive and food delivery fast (10 minutes or so) I'm not a fan of spicy (paprika?) coating but my wife loved it. Filets were a bit scrawny. Fries were crisp. Slaw was juicy and tasty. Atmosphere is country quaint. The large Southern Select...beer sign is quite a collectible. I saw a plate of rings go by, that in itself will bring me back.More

Food is good. Occasionally fried catfish pieces over cooked and crunchy. Sometimes orders are incomplete, i.e. no hush puppies with meal and orders are inconsistent - onion sometimes, other times not. If I ended here, I would give the restaurant a 4 /5. However, service...is very "ify". You may get a great waiter/waitress and other times nit even get waited on after 15 minutes. My last visit, I had to call the restaurant and ask for the manager to come to my table to assist. We had not even been acknowledged after 15 minutes. One female waitress snapped at her customer after he asked for assistance: "I have five tables. You can be patient." The manager did come to our table but was short with us and went a few feet to a waiter who was supposed to be waiting on us (supposedly) and said one of my party lied on him. That party never lied on the guy because he had not waited on us period. It appears the restaurant is short of employees but you do not stab repeat local customers in the back. We decided to leave.More

We come here a couple times a year. This time, they were packed, which slowed down getting a table and slowed the service times a bit, but the food is consistently phenomenal.

These are the best you can find anywhere. Fried Catfish, Onion Rings and Cajun Seafood Gumbo. Tasty and reasonably priced.

Great fried seafood. Lots of choices if you don’t want fried it for those that don’t like seafood also. Must try the onion rings! So crispy and good. Laid back family atmosphere.

I have eaten catfish around the country as I travel. Not only is this the best, ever, but the place is very Interesting place to eat. I say that because of its history, and the way the place is decorated.. They have a great menu...with lots of choices. Very friendly staff, and one of a kind place. My only complaint is I eat to much, as it is so good. I would like to see some half choices, as the portions are pretty big, well worth the price. I keep going back anyway.More

Okay so we can’t always eat healthy...when you feel like onion rings, come here. Some of the best in town. The fried shrimp is good too and the grandkids like the chicken nuggets. Good service too!

Clear Springs Cafe was just the place for a great Texas meal. We have been out of State for a while and our meal was a welcome delight. The onion rings are as good as touted and a small order was plenty for the two...of us. My wife had the Chicken Ella which was a large chicken breast with a creamy tomato and cilantro sauce on it. I had the chicken fried steak which had a nice light but crunchy breading and the most tender cutlet I have ever had. Service was good, except when we asked the waitress for a beer recommendation she said she did not know because she didn't like beer much. We asked for a list and she pointed to the neon and road signs on the wall. This was a minor frustratioon and did not affect how delicious the food was.More

I don’t think so. They told us it would be a 45 minute wait. We were seated in 10 minutes.
