I went there on a family dinner with my aunt and cousins. I was attracted by the website and variety. Everyone likes seafood but my aunt. The variety of food at the Clear Springs Cafe is enough to please anyone. The place is very busy and for a reason. I had shrimp three ways, a selection I plan on repeating.... More

On August 13, 2016 my wife and 2 friends stopped here to eat our evening meal. There was a wait of about 20 minutes before we were seated. Once we were seated the waitress was there promptly. She took our order and laughed and joked with us. For our appetizer we ordered the small order of onion rings. When the... More

The food was good and I don't remember that much to choose from the menu, we were sat down quickly but overall I'd say average, staff didn't seem like they wanted to be there, but again good was good and it is a restaurant.

I have eaten here several times over the years. It is dependable, but be prepared for a wait. I ordered take out this time, and all was good. My catfish was cooked well; my wife got shrimp which was good......they just left out the baked potato we ordered and paid for.

A little warm in this huge barn but the service was excellent and shrimp and sides were fantastic! Onion rings looked great but too full to try them.

Came in late Sat after a long day at the water park, friendly staff, most of the food was great, steak a bit overcooked, but the waitress offered to refire a new one, it was late so I made due...it was still tasty. She offered us a dessert to help forget about it even though it wasn't necessary. Sweet tea... More

Description
This was the very first Clear Springs location. It's actually located in Clear Springs, Texas between Seguin and New Braunfels. The building dates back to 1869 when it was mainly used as a grocery store for the locals. If you are ever in the area, it's worth the trip to check out the history that's behind this popular location. You better come early, standing room only is a common sight here.
