Food was good, service was ok. Try the jalapeno crawfish chowder and crispy onion rings. Catfish & fish tacos were tasty.

We went back twice because we enjoyed it so much. The onion rings are the best I have ever had. We had the fried shrimp and catfish combo. Wow! Fried food and not greasy?! I wish they were in New York. The atmosphere was whimsical and fun.

We have been eating at Clear Springs for at least 20 years. It seemed like they went through a slump for a while, but last night's dinner was excellent again. Good food at decent prices.

Went on a weeknight to avoid the crowd. Unfortunately the service was not up to par for any restaurant. Food was good but had to wait for the tartar/cocktail sauce for 10 minutes after seafood dishes were delivered to table by someone else. Even then had to go find the waitress. Table next to us offered theirs. Again had to... More

I stopped here on the way home to Boerne, after friends had recommended it. I must say that it was a great treat. I would rate the catfish as the best I have ever had. The service was on the spot and the decor took me back to a much simpler time.

I visit this place occasionally and for fried fish I find it great. I am not a personal fan of the seating arrangements but it's survivable and with beer on tap I can loosen up a bit. Be carefully ordering appetizers or you won't be able to see your date . I recommend this to anyone at least once, as... More

We were in town for the BikeMS and decided to try a top rated restaurant from Trip Advisor. Since we arrived during a non-peak time, my husband and I were seated immediately. We started with fried pickles as our appetizer. They were very tangy and we both loved them, despite the ranch dressing dipping sauce being very runny. My husband... More

I happen to be in the area when I got hungry. Using the app, I discovered this little gem of a restaurant. The onion rings and stingers were truly delicious and I also recommend the jalapeño chowder. The price was good too for the amount served. The inside of the restaurant has a unique Americana meets the South vibe to... More

The service was great. The atmosphere was comfortable. The food was excellent. If you like salmon with a little zip, the Firecracker Salmon is tops.

This was the very first Clear Springs location. It's actually located in Clear Springs, Texas between Seguin and New Braunfels. The building dates back to 1869 when it was mainly used as a grocery store for the locals. If you are ever in the area, it's worth the trip to check out the history that's behind this popular location. You better come early, standing room only is a common sight here.
