For me to enjoy a great gumbo, it must have three things - file, Saltine crackers, and a bay leaf. McAdoo's gumbo had all three. My spouse had andouille sausage. It was also great. The bread pudding was enough to serve two people. It is...More

We ate rather late so it was salad and soup for us, which we loverd. Pretty fair gumbo for non-Cajuns, and greshly made salads.

We had a wonderful dinner here in early October, 2016 while attending the Gruene wine and music fest. Great seafood selections, (oyster choices), fabulous martinis. They accommodated our one vegetarian with no problem helping her formulate a tasty dinner from their offerings. The rest of...More

McAdoos is one of our all time favorite restaurants in New Braunfels. However, they are not serving their fabulous rolls & have cut down on their portions. We will continue to go there, but it's not the same, hence the four star rating.

I had lunch at McAdoo's today for a work function. I had Cajun enchiladas. There were two of them and they were awfully small. The cream sauce was a bit pasty, but the flavor was good. My wife had the fried shrimp and catfish. That's...More

It truly is the best seafood in NB, but when they changed owners a few years ago they raised the prices a little higher than the food is worth. The brunch is delicious and it's really the only reason we go there now. The Bloody...More

McAdoo's is one of our favorites. The food is fantastic - especially the raw oysters and gumbo, and they have an excellent bar - the Macatini is my wife's favorite drink in New Braunfels.

Located in the old New Braunfels post office, which is BTW the first federal building built in Texas in 1915, is nothing short of simply amazing. Who would've thunk you could get excellent, fresh seafood in Central Texas. Well, here you can. Prices are a...More

Look at their posted menu. I didn’t order gluten free so I’m not much help on that one. The waitress did tell me they had it.
