Came here for dinner tonight, glad we got there early (530) there was a 30 minute wait already so we opted to eat in the bar area. For an appetizer you must get the salmon spring rolls! They are excellent! For mains I had the grouper and my husband had the redfish. Both were very well prepared and a good... More

Our party of three women went to McAdoo's for a very late lunch (3:00ish) after floating the Comal River. The service was excellent and the old post office building was beautifully restored. We chose to split one of the specials (blackened Red Fish on a bed of perfectly prepared couscous with a vegetable medley). We added an appetizer of coconut... More

If you have the time and are looking for a nice dinner with great seafood then try this place. This was our 2nd visit. The waitstaff was excellent. Accommodating our table of 4 adults and one child perfectly! Everyone loved their food - Chilean Bass, mahi mahi, etc. can't go wrong with great food and excellent service.

I've been to New Orleans many times, and the food here definitely could compete with it. Our party got the salmon spring rolls, redfish Pontchartrain, fried shrimp, and a catfish Po Boy. All were delicious! Plus, the service was excellent; they were ready to refill drinks before we could even finish them and were very prompt with the food. I... More

I went to this restaurant for a surprise birthday lunch for one of my old friends. There was a big party at our table but service was prompt, friendly and efficient. Importantly for me, the server topped off our iced tea glasses without our having to ask. A big thing on a very hot July afternoon. This place is known... More

We recently visited this restaurant on a Thursday and it was very crowded. However, the staff was extremely pleasant and we were offered the option of eating in the bar area. It was cozy in our two person booth and the food was very tasty. We will definitely dine here again. The restaurant is in an old post office but... More

Wait staff is great as you would expect with this class of restaurant. Usually have nice acoustic music on the shaded, large patio for Sunday brunch. Have not had any bad dishes there. Everything I have had is great. Need a better draft beer selection.

Food was quality, however the service was not. Asked for extra Ketchup didnt receive. At the end of meal asked for dessert to go, was charged for it but never received it, ripoff.

Go for the happy hour and sit in the bar or on the patio..great food, great prices and wonderful atmosphere. A neat piece of history, this building was the old post office and really is a great place for atmosphere! I say I go to a restaurant for #1 the food, #2 the atmosphere, and #3 the wait staff. All...
