Finally found good Hot Sausage!

Enjoyed my first visit to Butcher Boy’s and left most satisfied. Although we are still dealing with the virus and new rules for public gatherings service was just fine. The Bacon Cheeseburger with fries and a drink was tasty and very good. The menu is diverse and making a selection is not an easy one. My lunch partner had the Patty Melt with very nice looking Onion Rings. There was no food left when we finished. Unsweetened Iced Tea is delivered to you by the server and obtaining additional tea was no problem. What made this visit so worth while was my discussion with Billy the Butcher about their Hot Sausage. As a newly transplanted citizen from New Orleans there are culinary pleasures that are difficult to find. And Hot Sausage is one of them. Billy allowed me a sample of this delicacy and I was impressed. Brought a smile to my face and had the taste buds dancing up a storm. The Hot Sausage is delicious, tasty, and, above all, grows in intensity. Really done right and to such a level I left the restaurant with a pound to prepare and enjoy at home. Now only if I could locate some true French Bread. The food, service, and treatment here will have me as a new regular at Butcher Boy’s.

Senior Citizens Love Butcher Boys

We love to stop at Butcher Boys, while traveling through Nacogdoches. They have a great Senior Menu that we choose from. My husband loves their Chicken Fried Steak and I like their Sliced Brisket Sandwich. Both are served with the best Onion Rings you’ve ever eaten. The drink is included and their Sweet Tea is very good. Pick up a Jalapeño Cheeseball to take home with you. Our family loves them.

Indeed the best burgers!!

We went for dinner on the recommendation of our host Thomas at the Mockingbird Suites and were not disappointed. The burgers were indeed the best we’ve had in a long while. We also split a serving of homemade onion rings and took a piece of coconut cream pie back to the AirBnB. The counter servers were very customer friendly with speedy service. And the place was very clean. We look forward to coming back!

Dinner While Visiting Nacogdoches

My wife had the smothered steak with onions and she said it was really good. I had the Hot Sausage Sandwich combo. While it was good, be warned that if you get this, the sausage is some of the hottest you will ever eat. If you want your mouth to resemble the surface of the sun, go ahead and order this. Just have some milk nearby. Otherwise, it is a great place to eat. Everything that I saw on other customers' plates looked delicious.

It's real simple.. Butcher Boys has the best Food you will ever eat in East Texas.. hamburgers are my favorite, they are Legendary in Texas. I've been eating Butcher Boys for over 25+ years, and I have never been disappointed ! Not 1 time !

Butcher Boy’s Revisited

It was time to revisit this restaurant to see if Billy and crew were at the top of their game. And they are without question. Service is quick and friendly. Food is delicious and the menu is wide ranging. The wait for your hot food is short. Now you are able to obtain your own refills if necessary for your drink selection. Today the Sliced Brisket sandwich was enjoyed by my lunch partner. It came with French Fries and the portion was more than he was able to finish. My selection was the Bacon Cheeseburger fully dressed. Substituted Potatoe Salad for French Fries. All was tasty and satisfying. And before leaving placed my order for Five Pounds of their remarkable Hot Sausage. This is a place once you visit you shall return to.

What A Place! Great Taste! Great Atmosphere!

The burgers are tremendous! They are freshly ground there on location and are tops. They have fried green tomatoes that help make the meal even better. Take your tastebuds on a great trip here at this place.

Great Sandwiches

Had two chopped brisket sandwiches to go. My server was new but an old hand jumped in and helped her get my order done. They made my sandwiches quickly. Great service

Great burger place!

Great burger place! Huge serving size so come hungry or share a meal! I have 3 teen and preteen boys and they all left completely stuffed! Highly recommend!

BBQ brisket sub-par

My husband had the brisket sandwich and I had the brisket plate. They were out of the sliced brisket and only had chopped brisket. Not sure how many days they had collected the sliced brisket for the chop brisket, but it was basically not edible due to the mushiness of the texture (it seemed more like BBQ suave with grated meat added). Perhaps their other items are better.

Decent but dirty.

Food was pretty good. Patty melt and chopped beef. Onion rings were delicious. Only issue was this. The ceiling fans and light fixtures were disgustingly dirty. Fix this. It is nasty. If we would have noticed before we ordered we would have left. Gross.

Wonderful food in clean, welcoming place.

Ordered the food recommended to us - bacon hamburgers with fries. Order at the counter and receive food at the counter. Wonderful hamburger and fries. Very clean place - two people were constantly cleaning. Regret not having enough room to eat a big piece of Coconut Cream pie in the counter by our table.

Great Place to Stop for Food

Quality and quantity of food is excellent!! Varied menu is perfect as is the option for 'Senior' meals. Chicken fried steak, hamburgers, etc. are all good consistently. From the outside, you might not stop if you didn't know how good it really is.
