Highly rated restaurant. Unfair to call it average though I would hesitate to call it very good. There was certainly evidence of skill in the cooking here. For example the braised squid starter, the squid was beautifully cooked (tender), however the dish as a whole was overwhelmed with paprika. The goat cheese salad contained some above average goats cheese but... More

What a great restaurant. My family and I came across this restaurant from reviewing tripadvisor and it lived up to the good reports. It was so good we returned later that week to have more. Really good menu with lots of choice and very reasonable. Service is superb and very professional. Can highly recommend.

Found this lovely wee place on Trip Advisor. Seeing as both of us enjoy seafood, this seemed like the ideal place to try! The service from starters to coffee and desserts was fantastic. The entire menu looked amazing - just a shame we only had time to eat here three times during our week long stay! The food was plentiful,... More

My family and I visited Xantar in Salou for my husbands birthday after reading positive reviews on Tripadvisor and I am glad we did. We had a fantastic 3 course meal which came with bread, an appetiser, an alcoholic drink each and also coffee. I had French onion soup to start and steak for main and both were very tasty,... More

We decided to eat at Xantar after reading so many positive reviews on trip advisor and it did not disappoint. The menu is €30 for bakery service (bread, olives, gazpacho, meats), starter, main, dessert and 500ml wine. I had an oxtail ravioli to start which was delicious and such a large portion that I was worried I wouldn't be able... More

Wonderful restaurant, the food was top quality in other European cities you would pay three times as much. From the service of the waiters to the quality of the food this really is a restaurant of the highest standard.

Best meal I can remember in a long time for €25 set menu - including half bottle of wine and desert. Tasty seafood, well prepared and thoughtfully presented. Very friendly and helpful, prompt service - all the small touches of a place that would normally be much much more expensive.
