Satisfy the inner man - go for the Rib!

Just had a week skiing in Plagne Soleil, and chose Le Baryon, despite comments about slow service. We checked the place out in advance, for drinks, one evening and found it to be warm, homely and equipped with a goodly number of really pleasant staff. We ate on the Wednesday evening (surprise... read more

In general we were quite happy that we had chosen and reserved our meal here. The ambience within the restaurant was great for our desires. The meal was well presented and the food was good. The downside was that this was not as good as we had experienced in the week; the prices felt slightly elevated; the portions a little... More

We were a group of ten and booked in advance. There were 2 serving staff and another large group who had booked after us but chose slightly earlier time. Drinks order taken quickly. Food order 15 mins after and food arrived 45 mins later. There is only so much you can drink before you eat. Although we were last group... More

Take the little white cabin lift from the slope below Le France and walk back down the slope in the moonlight afterwards ! No torch needed, it's all downhill. Great Restuarant and very traditional with families and couples. Don't be in a rush, enjoy the evening. Try the meat platter and cook your food how you like it. To finish... More

Very warm welcome from owners despite us arriving not long before they closed at lunchtime. We were tired and very hungry after a long journey from Edinburgh via Glasgow and Chambery airports.

The decor is warm and nice but we had to wait more than 45 minutes for food to start being served. Service was pretty casual - a bit too much by our taste. Last but not least, we ordered a "côte de boeuf" (cooked rare), but the meat was really hard and tendinous, which honestly is unacceptable as this is... More

Whilst visiting Plagne Soleil on a snowboarding trip, my boyfriend and I went out to this restaurant one evening. We were greeting and seated by the window, the waitress found our attempts at speaking French a little amusing, she continued to humour us throughout our meal. The decor and ambience were excellent, it was just perfect for an evening out... More

Fantastic french sayoyarde style food. The decor was very traditional and very inviting from the outside. The food was presented and served to a high standard. The price was about £30 a head and although the portions didn't appear large you certainly had enough due to the richness and taste of the food. The service was excellent and we were... More
