The cafe is on the property of the crystal caves. It is a very popular lunch stop for cab drivers so be prepared to wait if you catch the lunch rush. If you have time to wait, the fish sandwich is worth it.

Do not miss the best fish sandwich at the Café Ole kiosk by the Crystal Caves. This was recommended by a few locals. After finishing our cave tour we stood in line behind a fireman who was ordering and told the counter person to just repeat his order for us.
The popular lunch here is fried fish from the morning's catch placed in a sandwich of toasted raisin bread, melted cheese, coleslaw, tartar and hot sauce. It was the best $15 we spent on food in Bermuda. The sandwich is large enough to share for average appetites.
My wife usually does not get fish but said she will be back here when on the island

when it comes to the best place to get something there is always a debate, Pat's vs Gino's( Philly Cheese Steaks), Pepe's vs Sally's( New Haven Pizza) and it goes on and on. Well on the Island, best place to get a fish sandwich is also up for debate, but the majority of the locals we spoke to all said this was the best, and oh it was so good! This sandwich was huge, the fish was so juicy! We got the fried wahoo, but apparently they also make a grilled fish too. We were told to get the coleslaw and tartar sauce on the sandwich and all on the raisin bread, but we got white bread instead. The sandwich is so big, you can share it. We also got fries, which were also good. They don't have indoor seating that we saw, and there are lots of wild chickens joining you while you eat, but we didn't mind because the sandwich was so good! Will definitely go back next time we are there!

As others have said....the title of best fish sandwich in Bermuda has circulated between establishments over the years but Cafe Ole most definately has most consistently taken that title in our minds. We & our family visit frequently. Its notable that they have a very busy & ardent load of taxi operator customers so that tells you something. Great food, good price & tasty...when busy its best to phone & book ahead....Well done guys & hope all goes well with your move.

This sandwich was awesome! I got it with rock fish even tho wahoo is the traditional fish. I would've never thought of this combo but if you like sweet/salty together, then this is it.
Be mindful that you will WAIT. It was just me and I waited about 45 minutes and almost missed my cave tour (I was told 20 minutes). Also, the chickens are here too and are obviously used to getting food...one stared me down...lol

Our breakfast/lunch at Café Olé was easily my top meal of the week. The fish sandwich was chubby and full of fresh local fish and a lovely light tartar sauce. We swooned over the raisin bread. What a delightful combination. The cafe is located at the entrance to Crystal Caves. There is plenty of parking. Stop at nearby Blue Hole to dive and swim, after.

I got the wahoo fish sandwich and saying it’s the best sandwich I’ve ever had isn’t an exaggeration. The fish is so perfectly lightly battered, the sand which is stuffed, and everything comes together so well. There is no doubt in my mind I will go out of my way to go back if ever in Bermuda again. 20/10. Could not recommend more.

Such a great spot for either a simple breakfast or to try the classic Wahoo sandwich. I got the classic breakfast and it wasn’t the best thing on the planet but it was real food (not resort buffet breakfast which was refreshing) They had good iced coffee. Great service and like everywhere on the island it was pretty expensive. I’d say it was worth it and I recommend checking it out when you’re on the island.

The great reviews shown here refer to a business that was booted out of this location, forced to relocate and change their name! The relocated business continues to make the absolute BEST fish sandwiches island-wide and patrons come from all over in search of great fish. MAMA MIA, is the name of the business formerly at the caves but NOW located at Hamilton Parish Workmens' Club about a 5 min. drive away off of the North Shore Road!!!

The Fish sandwich is a stable in Bermuda and there is huge debate about who has the best. There are a few places that have historically held the record but in recent times in my opinion have slacked on quality and a new comer has taken the podium. Cafe Ole has taken the cake!! Their fish sandwich is on point! Caves or not well worth the journey!

Visited Cafe Ole while on a private car tour of the island. The fish sandwich was unbelievable - it's on this amazing raisin bread with some incredible sauce of some sort, and the fries were also very good. Definitely get the homemade "root beer" mixed with the homemade lemonade. It was simply the most refreshing thing ever. Take note - it is pricey - lunch for 3 people was about $100 for sandwiches, drinks, fries, and one dessert to share.
Unfortunately - as good as this was, we waited over an hour, which is simply not acceptable without them telling you it would be an hour. There weren't many people sitting and waiting - only about three - so we didn't expect that there would be such a wait. Apparently, though, they also take call-in orders, and as such we watched carloads of people (all locals) repeatedly coming in to pick up large orders. So, it sort of felt like locals orders were being made ahead of the tourists. Also, service was not friendly at all - we asked twice how much longer it would be and both times we got a "it's coming, it's coming". We had already paid so we had no choice but to keep waiting. Since we were also paying for the private cab by the hour, these fish sandwiches cost us over $160 (due to the cost of the wait for them). Therefore, I would not go back to this particular place for a fish sandwich and instead would go to Woody's.

Great little place for lunch. Beware, it’s popular so don’t expect to be in and out in a flash, but the sandwiches are really worth waiting for. The staff are very nice indeed.

After touring the Crystal Caves, we enjoyed the best Fish sandwich on the island! Raisin bread, local white fish breaded, and fries. Casual fun spot for lunch.

located next to the Crystal Caves is a small stand. It actually is bigger than it looks, a deep kitchen. Clean. Friendly service. Sit outside. Covered. Order and they bring the food to your table. Fresh and would recommend. Fairly priced.
