I have been either living in or going to Bermuda for nearly 40 years and I don’t think the Swizzle has altered in that time. Why change a winning formula ? The jugs of swizzle are actually pretty good value, compared with the cost of a glass or half jug and really must be tried if one hasn’t had swizzle before. Be careful though - they don’t say ‘Swizzle In, Stagger Out’ for no reason. Food is also pretty good, even if mostly fairly basic, ie pizzas, fish and chips etc and atmosphere always friendly and welcoming, as are the staff.

Touristy … but worth stopping in … maybe once!

Came a long time ago and didn’t really plan to go back … but decided to stop in for a quick drink on a recent trip with some family who had never been. Rum Swizzle is (of course) the drink of choice and we opted for the full jug ($29) … which is really a very small beer half-pitcher served in tiny cordial size glasses (probably 5-6 total). On our way out … spoke to some others who said the fish chowder was a bit watery and we were glad we skipped that. Like I said … good for a drink but maybe only once. There are some other great bars and restaurants to try in Bermuda …

Awesome spot to get your Swizzle on. Worth the hype

We ordered a jug of rum Swizzle, sweet potato fries, conch fritters, and chicken fingers. The drink was worth the legendary status... when in Rome, right!? The food was yummy and came quickly (conch fritters were awesome). The staff were friendly. Plenty of great outdoor patio space. All in all a great spot. (Visited on Feb 12, 2020)

Swizzly rummy!

This Bermuda's oldest and charming watering hole is located within walking distance of the Grotto Bay Hotel and the Crystal & Fantasy Caves. After a fantastic tour of the caves, we decided to swizzle in here for a pick us up. Its internal walls were covered in interesting graffiti such as bank notes and business cards and more which I dared not say! We sat at the great outdoor patio area and watching the world went and definitely not wasting time! The food choices were good with equal options for seafoodies, meat lovers and vegans. The drink menu was great too. The service was prompt and the staff were friendly. Our starters were bowls of the joyful peppery fish chowder. The mains were the flavoursome conch fritters with sweet potatoes and yummy seafood pasta. We washed them all down with a big jug of the country's famous rum swizzle cocktail. It was strong but refreshingly good. Wished someone warned us about staggering out of there! Definitely a big thumb up from us and cheers 170220!

Delicious and Great Service

We had heard about the Swizzle Inn from a friend who has previously visited Bermuda, so we made sure to stop there for lunch after our visit to the Crystal Caves. The service was friendly and our server helped us decide on the best things to get from the menu. I got the Wahoo sandwich and my husband got the fish and chips. Both were delicious and had generous portions. We also had to try the rum swizzle and it was very yummy! The environment at the Swizzle in was very nice too! We would highly recommend the Swizzle Inn to anyone visiting Bermuda!

Great Stop, even better Swizzle!

My wife and I stopped after a visit to Crystal Caves. Numerous locals had recommended the Swizzle as a “must stop”. Have to be honest I was a tad bit cynical but it’s definitely worth the stop. Great place that absolutely oozes character (hard to find these days). Drinks were great, food was pretty decent but our server Carlos, was a gem. Great kid who truly cared about our experience and seemed to take genuine pleasure in our satisfaction with his food recommendations. We enjoyed it so much we made a point of stopping in the next day (via public transit 😉), so we could enjoy a few more swizzles!

Classic bar food

This had classic bar food- not a place to go for fine dining. The atmosphere was really cool if you like pubs. The food was pretty much like any American pub would serve but more expensive because everything needs to be imported

Swizzle Inn

The Swizzle Inn is part of Bermuda’s history. Can’t imagine vacationing there without stopping there several times. Simply enjoy the food, setting, and that they have local entertainment especially the steel drum player. Also enjoy their trivia pursuit night. Always enjoy our visits there. The staff is so friendly.

Festive spot with lots of atmosphere

Pitchers of rum swizzles served with cocktail glasses on the balcony were delicious! A fun spot to get a snack for the entire family. The inside was unique and interesting. Write your name on the wall and read everyone else's messages. Keeps the kids busy. Lots of island charm. Nice location right above Crystal Caves. Our family ranged from 70 to 5 and the Swizzle Inn was enjoyed by everyone. A small onsite gift shop was convenient to purchase a Tshirt and other souvenirs. I hope to go back!

Waiting 20 minutes for a beer

I understand that drinks can take a while. But on a Monday afternoon ~4PM, the place wasnt busy. We ordered the rum swizzle and a guinness. It took over 20 minutes for the guinness to arrive. I was long done with my cocktail. When the beer arrived we were told that it took longer because the beer foamed up. Really?! I wanted to have dinner here later but no thank you!

Fun Active Pub with Local Vibe

Swizzle Inn offers up casual food and entertainment for locals and tourists alike. Its a gem because at this point of the island there is little around, making it the evening destination for those staying at the nearby Grotto Bay Hotel. Trivia Night and great bar scene!

Fun atmosphere

We actually tried The Swizzle Inn twice during our visit. The first time was great, we all tried the seafood options. The second one wasn't as good- it was Oktoberfest so we all tried to get some of those options and they were out of almost all of them. It's a fun atmosphere though and lively pub.

Consistently good food and service.

I eat here a few times a year and this was lunch stop until I was presented with the 2024 restaurant weeks menu. This was good news as I had covered 13 restaurants in the programme so far, with good experiences all around. I started with the pasta offering which I found a bit unusual as it was a large ravioli with pumpkin and beetroot. The surf (shrimp) and turf (beef filet) were really good and plentiful. I finished with a tasty caramel apple upside down cake. The service was pleasant and efficient and I can recommend you dine here before the 2024 RW is over. This is a good one.

We Swaggered Out

While in Bermuda on our Norwegian Cruise we visited the famous “Swizzle Inn” and it didn’t disappoint. The food was amazing as well as the staff but the Rum Swizzlers were the best. We actually had 3 pitchers of them and as they say “swizzle in, swagger out” if your in Bermuda you have to visit the swizzle inn.
