We’ve eaten at Rustico several times, and it’s our favorite spot in Flatts Village, which is about halfway from Hamilton to the airport. We got an early 5pm dinner reservation, and were rewarded with a lovely window view of the harbor, aquarium, and palm trees. The food has always been reliably good here - we got the grilled salmon and chicken parm, and the meal was very relaxing with no crowds (the restaurant did begin to fill up by 6pm). We then asked the waiter to call us a taxi back to Fairmont Southampton, and it turned out the driver was also the owner of the restaurant! He was very friendly, as are all the drivers we’ve ever had in Bermuda, and we had a very relaxing drive back to the hotel.

Without exaggeration this is by far the most delicious food I have tried on island. I love it because anything I tried reminded me the taste of my mom's food. This is exactly what you need from a restaurant nowadays and is always hard to find. I chose to visit the restaurant after having tried their dishes as take out and was always impressed with fresh ingredients and excellent execution of the recipes. I asked for the chef in order to give him my compliments. The in place experience was also pleasant. The welcoming staff, some kind of manager or supervisor, was very accommodating of me and my friend walking in on a busy afternoon with no reservations. The service is fast and prompt, no faults at all, however most of the waiters do not seem eager to engage with customers. I did request along with my regular order a take out which was forgotten, but the issue was rectified and apologies were extended when I asked. Overall and with much accuracy, an absolute must. The melanzane parmigiana is an absolute must, I loved the octopus salad, the wine selection is good and they offer a good variety of desserts to cutter to different needs. I liked the potato soup and the calamari transferred me back to a Greek island. The portions are more than expected and every dish worths every penny. I already recommend this to my friends.

We stay with family some distance from the Rustico, but do not mind the trip as the meals are consistently superb.
The outside seating is mostly covered, so a good beverage and enjoyable meal fit perfectly.
The service is excellent with the exception of a couple of guys busing who just grunt…possibly do not understand English.
Worth the money…

We don't mind paying dearly for great food but Rustico has only pizza to crow about. I like it.
Entrees are priced in the mid-hi $40 range and not worthy! For a few dollars more there is Blu, Aurora, Barracuda, the place at Cambridge Beaches, Sul Verde and a few others who have EARNED the right to charge premium prices.
Rustic has no right to charge 5 star prices for very mediocre food.
My $27 lobster ravioli was awful, in a sauce that resembled baby poo. No trace of lobster at all. Calamari was tough, uninspiring and apple strudel at $13 was a joke- a foodservice item straight from the microwave - a doughy mess with no apple present.
Until Rustico respects my money with real food at appropriate price points they can consider me fed up and unlikely to return. They've fallen badly over the years.

This was a nice family restaurant near the Loren where we were staying. The staff were extremely friendly with our baby, who loved his kids cheese pizza. They even gave him a little scoop of vanilla ice cream while we were finishing our meal, which was so thoughtful. Definitely recommend the burrata and calamari apps. My husband really liked the homemade meat lasagna as well!

Fine dining near Aquarium in Flatts. Our regular annual visit did not disappoint. Nice wine selection, excellent Caesar salad, great pizza. Recommend the Rustico Special, with arugula, parma ham, thin crust, parmigiana cheese. Dee-lish. Popular with locals.

The risotto with salmon was made with pearl barley which was a shame but it did tasted good. It was a shame for me as I’ve got to be careful with how much gluten..
The carbonara got a raving review from my friend Max.
My lamb has still not come out…… (stay tuned!)
The lamb was tough and I didn’t enjoy it. Going to sleep hungry…
The sticky toffee pudding was nice and not overbearing. Lacked sauce though - could have done with a bit more.

Our recent visit with friends turned out to be mixed bag of quality. The pizzas were great, as usual, but the fish sandwich was blah without much flavor at all. The pasta as also OK, but not great. We'll keep on coming by for great pizza, and hopefully improved other items.

My wife and I dined at the Rustico twice while on recent Bermuda vacation.
We greatly enjoyed the calamari appetizers and the antipasto was also excellent.
Homemade pasta and wonderful and we crowned both our dinners with amazing panna cotta desserts. The service as also excellent.
We recommend!

We had delicious food here, but the service was really bad. They were adequately staffed. I think the issue is poor training. Wait staff seemed confused with the menu, couldn’t answer questions, water glasses were never refilled after asking. We waited about 45 minutes for the check, after we asked for it. They all spoke very quietly, so it was hard to hear them. I think they were not confident with their skills at the table, hence the quiet voice. And I say they, because this was all the wait staff. About 5 different staff members appeared at our table. They always seemed confused and unsure of what we told the last staff member we needed. I think they need better management. These are all correctable problems. Food was great, but I won’t return and couldn’t recommend this for an evening out. They do have outside dining, but it is situated between a parking lot and a busy road, so not the best ambiance.

We stopped by Rustico for a drink but were informed that they only serve drinks if you also order food. Consequently, we opted for some light snacks, even though we initially only wanted drinks. While it's a pleasant spot to relax outdoors, it may not be the best choice if you're solely in the mood for drinks.
After enjoying one drink each, we decided to leave.
If you have some free time, consider exploring Flatt Village— a fantastic destination for both food and drinks ( go somewhere else)
Conveniently accessible by bus routes 10 and 11 from Hamilton.
For those interested in visiting Tom Moore Jungle, a quick bus ride on route 3 from Hamilton will take you there.
Experience a unique Bermudian holiday tradition on Boxing Day and New Year's Day, where Gombey troupes, adorned in vibrant costumes, dance through the streets to the captivating rhythm of snare drums, beer bottle fifes, and tin whistles. It truly is a wonderful and distinctive experience!

Terrible service as they were obviously understaffed. Arrived early and set at the bar. Bartender was frantic and it took 20mins to get a drink. Once seated at the table, it took another 45mins for the first round of drinks, so we ordered the next round at the same time, and it took another 30 minutes for the next round to arrive wrong and missing one drink. The waiter was ruuning around line a chicken with his head cut off,did the best he could under the circumstances. The food was tasty.

We usually visit for a light lunch.
However, there dinners are also wonderful.
The Caesar salad is better than most places, even in the US. We also thoroughly enjoy the Picante Pizza and Tiramisu, along with a delightful double espresso.
The service is usually top notch.
At busy times, the parking lot fills up.
Tip Alert: Most restaurants on the island include a 17% tip.

Had dinner here last night on the recommendation of dive master Mark (@Dive Bermuda).
It was excellent.
Service was very good and thses days that is a real treat!
The bread was amazing! For the two of us we ordered the full loaf. I am glad we did. It was crisp and chewy and hot. I managed to get one piece before my husband consumed it like M&Mrs. Lol!. To say he liked it was an understatement.
I had the cesear salad and the salmon. Both were absolutly perfect. Spouse had the potato leek soup and he pronounced it wonderful. He also had the lasagna which he said was also very good.
Again, service was great and food was excellent. Would highly recommend.

This was another first for us when visiting Bermuda. It was very busy, even for a Sunday night. We had phoned from home (UK) before we left and reserved a table. We were hoping for an outside table but the weather at the time of our visit was very windy, so we were seated inside. Considering it was busy, the tables were well spaced. Service was swift and the food was well presented and served hot.
