Really good Filipino fodo

Fried chicken. Yum! Noodles. Yum! Stewed Beef. Yum! Banana Ketchup. OMG... Ugh! The halo-halo dessert looked amazing but was too full to try it. Service is very friendly and price is reasonable.

I went their on a not busy day, staff love to chit-chat and they dont care if you wait for long time.It does not feel like a restaurant more like a public grocery with worst customer service. Chicken lechon is the main highlights of Max but No frills chicken is taste way better at half the price.

Having travelled to The Philippines where this chain originated, I was happy and excited to see a location in Canada. What a poor representation of what it is supposed to be. Overpriced and underdelicious.

I ordered the flipino steak, and they served me with sliced beef into soup. That soup tasted salty. Regret

We tried their fried chicken before it was very dry so we tried the chicken inasal this time. Same thing. Tough and dry. Lousy. And that was their specialty ! The pancit bihon had big slices of cabbage and meat. They should slice them into small pieces to make it nice to eat. It should have been noodles with veggies... More

Came here for dinner with a big group. We ordered the appetizer sampler, which indicated on the menu that it came with sweet potato fries. However, when it arrive at our table, it had regular fries instead. When asked, our server explained that it was a typo on the menu. I'm not sure why we were not told this when... More

This is one of our favourite restaurants the service is fantastic, the food is excellent and the prices are good. I highly recommend Max’s to anyone who enjoys authentic Philippine cuisine and to anyone who never tried and always wanted to.

We have been here many times since our review three years ago. Always good. This time we had pancit palabok, pancit bihon, kare-kare and crispy pork hock. All was excellent. Try the calamansi juice...wonderful even though a little tart. This is a really nice casual family style eatery.

Basically a chicken place. Lots of choice and they will make vegetarian if asked for. Service friendly and prompt. They make the food after ordering so it takes about half an hour to come but they warn you of that. Prices fair. Recommended.
