The good about this restaurant is that the food is excellent. The bad is that service is not always the best. I have been there when it was packed and have watched those who came after us get food while we still waited. I have also been here when we were first ones in restaurant and still saw those come... Four of us stopped in for dinner at this nondescript little storefront in the strip mall at 2150 Steeles because Thai Bamboo appeared to have an authentic Thai cuisine menu. We've visited Thailand more than once, and two in our party lived in Bangkok for a few years, so we're all partial to real Thai food. The spring rolls were... More

I like little unassuming places like this for lunch. The prices are reasonable, the food is tasty. I liked the flat noodles with black-bean chicken. Generally these places give better value than many other options in this desolate part of the world. But could it be that this resto is coasting on their reputation? Junk is piled up in the... More

Many people who work in the area come here for lunch, and it's a popular weekend spot as well. They serve good Thai dishes, in the range of $8 to $12, and have takeout as well.

This place used to be my go to place for decent Thai. The food is very good, but the service is below average... slow, sloppy, not very friendly :(

I was so disappointed in my recent visit to Thai Bamboo and shocked that they changed such great food to mediocre at best. We were seated at a nice table and were surprised that there weren't more people (it's usually packed). We ordered spicy thai basil eggplant (our favourite dish), beef with cashews, and spicy basil seafood. When we received... More

Serves good thai food. The service was okay. Would have appreciated them refilling water more and paying attention when we tried to get their attention. Decor was nice.

Busy place on a Saturday night that left us wanting more... The short wait was fine but confusion reigned at the door. No names taken so I was left to create order by telling the hostess/server who had arrived first (we were seated right at the door). Fair wait to order drinks, longer wait to order food. Appetizers came after... More

I came here for lunch on a weekday. A rather popular place for lunch, but I find the food to be only so-so. Good, not great.
