We were pleasantly surprised at how well decorated the hotel was and how appealing the various bars and other rooms were. The food was ok nothing special and I guess for what it was it was expensive. For a party of 6 4 adults 2 kids we were £160 including tip compared to £115 at the Colonsay Pantry ( where... More

This is a lovely restaurant to visit with very friendly staff. I think the local oysters are probably the best and freshest I have ever tasted. Highlight, unusually, was the homemade honey ice cream made from local honey - nectar! Went back the next day for some more as it was so good!

Service was very nice and helpful. Menu is quite simple, but food is really good and fresh. Especially loved my halibut and vanilla creme brulee. A winelist is good. The restaurant and the hotel as whole is very tidy.

Really friendly staff and welcome here, with space to relax before and after the meal, with the bar right nearby. Food fine, and nicely served. Have eaten here now for three holidays and would like to stay too.

We stayed for six days at the hotel, and loved it all. The food was very good, and it was served with a friendly smile. The views out on to the garden, and down to the pier were also a joy. We particularly liked the bar area where guests and locals mingled, and that there were also various areas of... More

We dined in the hotel whilst enjoying a self catering stay on Colonsay. Lovely, friendly attentive staff, food delightful. Two and three course deals good value for money when considering quality of the food.

My wife and I were guests at the hotel and dined in the hotel restaurant 5 nights in a row. The service was impeccable and the food was delicious. The prices were reasonable for the quality on offer and the fact that this is a fairly remote destination.Well worth a visit.

Although the food we ate in the hotel was of a good quality and well cooked, the choice on the menu was very limited and we were disappointed that there wasn't more traditional Scottish fayre on the menu.

Crab claws lovely and we had high expectations for the fish and chips but they were terrible! Soggy batter and grey fish. Shame.
