Wow - what a dining experience I had at Montia on a recent Tuesday this month ... Here is a quick summary - The food - absolutely amazing . The most memorable items I tasted included the foie gras (prepared perfectly), mussels in a tomato broth (the mussels were SO good) , and the tripe stew (and I am not... More

We had a great meal at this tiny slightly hard to find restaurant, that seemed to be tucked away in the most unlikely spot. The interior is cool and contemporary and the staff charming. The chefs come out to present each course of the fabulous tasting menu. They only do the tasting menu, either long or short, even the short... More

Innovative, imaginative, mostly organic food & wine, sourced impeccably and served by passionate young chefs. Every course of our tasting menu was a delight with clean, fresh flavours and wonderful, local produce. Wines were unusual, eye opening & faultless. Parking was easy in a nearby public car park near to the famous El Escorial Monestary with just a short walk... More

We have visited this restaurant for the third time and always we love it as the food is perfect, everything very balanced and tasty, not too modern but really fresh, and, otherwise it's quite fine with the price!

This was my second time in the restaurant. I decided to invite friends who who were visiting me from abroad. The food is exquisite, prepared with local ingredients and served with a great visual effect.

Secured a table for lunch On the day - maybe because it was midweek in November and the weather was bad. Montia was steps away from our small hotel. We stayed for about 4 hours enjoying the short lunch menu. As reviews have mentioned before it was mushroom season and mushrooms featured ALOT. Inside is warm ( woodburning stove) a... More

More than a restaurant, this cozy corner of San Lorenzo de El Escorial, is like visiting an innovative and creative gallery where you will be exposed to beautiful works of art that will challenge your senses. A committed young staff will explain their creations and how they use local organic produce in an effort to raise local cuisine just as... More

We planned to visit the Monastery en route to Segovia from Toledo. When I read about Montia I made it a mission to secure one of the few tables for a Sunday lunch. The young chefs here have a passion for local produce and have created a unique dining experience. In the style of a Michelin star restaurant, they have... More
