We ate here on our first night and were so glad we did. We were greeted with a complimentary glass of sangria to toast the fiesta de Sant Joan. Once seated we chose from the set Spring menu at 30 euros. There was plenty of choice in each course. We chose the aubergine stuffed with vegetables and goats cheese for... More

A unique experience eating in an ex convent dining-room with a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. The menu was very good with a wide choice of dishes and we were delighted by all the ones we chose. The service is excellent as is customary in a good parador.

I stayed at the Parador in Almagro for 2 nights. Being an “Amigos” card holder, I took advantage of its Gastronomic Offer rate. This deal gives a 20% discount on the room with full or half board when booking 2 nights. In addition to the dishes listed on the half board menu, the restaurant offered a number of special dishes... We had two nights here, the gluten free choice was really plentiful and good value. The half board choice was also a choice of local dishes as well as the standard excellence of the parador selections. The wine choices are also good value.

I am an "Amigo de Paradores," and Amagro is in my top five! Staff are well-informed and helpful, food is quite good if a bit pricey, all served in the spectacular setting of a rambling 15th century convent water-gardens, refectories, and storage bodegas. Parking is under cover and secure; Town attractions are nearby, the pool is clean and well-attended, with... More

Good local food selection. Choose the house wine, which is very good value for money. They will give you small starters while you wait.

Service very good. Quality of meal above average but short of excellent. The ambience and character of the Dining Room is outstanding.

I think that if you were not looking for Almagro, you might not find it. But it was well worth the adventure getting there. Thank you GPS. Our room in this lovely Parador was charming. Our dinner there was delicious. We had wandered the main square in the afternoon, had a tapas and beer and were ready for a nice... More

Staying one night in the parador, we ate dinner in the restaurant. Very pleasant, helpful and knowledgable waiter who assisted with our wine choice. Lovely setting in the outside courtyard with water features. Regional tapas starter excellent. All other courses good, albeit with overly large portions. Very impressed.

If you are a habitual visitor to Paradores you will know that most are historic monument that have been taken over by the state, restored and converted into good quality hotels. In this case, an old convent has become a 4 star hotel and, as always, the restaurant is synonymous with quality. The menu is not as extensive as in... More
